GDT: Around the League 2023-24 I : "Wake Up. September Has Ended!"

7 dollars isn't going to erase that nightmare for the kid.

On the second part I don't know that more teams will be the direct result of worse teams. It's bad GM's that are causing these issues. There are 7 teams with a less cap than SJ, but no one is nearly as bad as they are. Wilson buried that team with bad contracts and the only smart thing now is to try get a franchise player in the next few drafts for SJ.

Don't get me wrong the product will be more watered down, but there is no reason to be as bad as the Sharks are if you have a half ass decent GM or if you are trying to tank.

Absolute insanity to me that the league is thinking more expansion. Absolutely insane. There is not enough talent or interest to support more teams. League will continue to get worse and will be watery as f***.

Bettman and the owners dont care about the product or the fans. If they can make $1B (with a B) per expansion team and add 4 more teams over the next few years thats a lot of money in their pockets they dont have to share with players.

If us hockey fans have shown Bettman one thing, its that we are dumb and gullible as hell.

We keep coming back lockout after lockout, scandal after scandal, garbage reffed game after garbage reffed game, watching the league making it up as they go along, zero transparency, a DPOS that is a guy who had a company called Violent Gentleman in an ape suit using a Plinko machine, no best on best tournaments or Olympics, and a bunch of Old Boys running their network solely for the financial benefit of 32 Billionaires or Corporate Entities.

Us fans dont matter. The product dont matter.

I still can't believe San Jose has a better save % than Edmonton. Not the goalies faults whatsoever here... 100% the guys infront

Jeez. A backup castoff will probably perform better than what we have

If they had our goalies the nhl would need to add a mercy rule

Ok... I was casually looking up the scores on NHL.com... and I see the Sabres goalie has been credited with a goal?

How did that happen when Philly was up 4-0 on the Sabres at the time?

I'm going to have to track down some highlights of that one.



Campbell & Skinner gotta contribute more to offense obviously is what I take from this. :)


edit... ok now NHL.com shows the goal as scored by Jokiharju.


What a jackass league... everything from their game stats keeping to their game management officiating to their "disciplinary" department right on up to their weasel of a Commissioner all screams incompetence.

Jack Hughes went into the boards a lot like Mcdavid as a rookie, just without manning. Left the game, hes fun to watch hope he’s not out long

Yeah very similar. Although he went in solo vs McD having a body/bodies driving him in. Of course my memory could have been blacked out due to age and stress lol :D
