The Kings were down 3-1 in the first to Arizona, so they pulled Copley. Talbot comes in and lets in the first shot. 4-1.

Nucks looking good. Kicking blues buts. Outshooting like 19-3

Soucy looks better than all of our dmen lol. Besides a healthy ekholm

Impressive steamroll of a tired Blues team. Canuckles blue line is very impressive - helping to transition fast and efficiently out of their own zone to their forward group which is also rolling right now. Hughes and Hronek have been fantastic together absolutely controlling the play with puck poise, intelligent, fast puck movement or carries out of their zone. Cole was an undervalued high character veteran add and Soucy another big, solid support d-man. Throw a healthy elite goaltender behind them.

Tocchet has them humming early. Will see if it is sustainable. Big test tonight against a fresh Rangers team.

I remember when the Oilers played fast...

Philly gets victimized by California reffing. Call on ice was no goal, no idea what angle they had to irrefutably overturn the call to say the puck completely crossed the line.

Canucks have always given the Oilers trouble in the last 10 years, even when they have finished near the bottom of the standings. Last year was a bit of an anomaly for them, as they lost several games in the last period or last few minutes, and then Demko got hurt and they never recovered. When healthy, they have some serious talent on that team. Of course, there's a poster on here who thinks Hughes isn't a proper captain.

Absolutely amazing how many times Elias Petersson falls down. This guy is the biggest actor or weak AF

Tochett has these guys buying in. He always had shit rosters to work with in AZ so in a way, I'm not surprised now he has a bit of talent and a goalie to work with.
Their work ethic in the games I watch is at leas 2X ours. We look like we are at a leisurely skate with zero urgency.

We have too many guys who bail on board battles and are afraid to get dirty. That keeps puck possession. Guys like RNH, who just want to pass it off quick. He is a PP player. Mcleod same thing. He can't win battles and bails.

Hopefully it changes. I just see us do so many things without any purpose to it at all.
