This is why you don’t rush a rebuild. They appeased Doughty by trading picks and prospects to get a team just good enough to maybe get to the second round before they have to start rebuilding again.

I watched their last 10 games. They are a machine. Ekholm was a huge addition for them. If Skinner just plays average they are going to be hard to beat. Love to see them play Boston for the cup. Really want to see McDavid get a cup to top off this season.
