Devon Levi is getting his chance in Buffalo. Nothing groundbreaking yet, but what's interesting with him is he's 6`0.

Stecher scored and then punched the glass. It must've said something about his family.

Kings fans sometimes bragged that because they traded for Gretzky, hockey in California grew. It is valid to some extent for sure, and in some ways helped to ignite the creation of the Ducks franchise.
But now because of us, they're getting Derek Lee for some time so we're even for all I care...

At least he is letting us know and not fanboying(fangirling?) on the Kings like Dillman

I mean, I get it, but it’s like we just got a fantastic new shiny thing and the local bully stole it Again.

Let's help our ugly neighbor out, this might be one of the last playoff runs they have in them until their soon-aged-out core slows down. Let them enjoy something nice for 2 weeks while they're getting stomped by Edmonton.

He even says it's just for this playoff run and he'll be back with the Ducks. Sounds like it might be a task from his employer. This is all fine by me

With the amount of scrutiny guys like Huberdeau get in Canadian markets, and Johnny being a high-profile example of going to Columbus to get away from it all... I really feel like we could become a landing spot for mid-high level UFAs when we start to turn things around.

There's something to be said about making millions and being relatively unknown, with a short walk to the beach.

I assume that's the main draw (outside of money) for free agents coming here.

I don't think Johnny was a good example for your point though. He supposedly wanted to be closer to home and wanted to be in Philly, but they couldn't make it work. He also kind of couldn't go back to Calgary after saying he wanted to be closer to home (at least, that's how I understand it).

So he ended up with CBJ and almost went to Philly? Man that guy hates winning I guess

So he puled out of the NJ deal himself? That'd be a crazy signing for NJ. They wouldn't had to pay the price for Meier and the team would be probably even better than they are now

CBJ was consolation as it was still apparently close enough to home for him. I don't think NJ ever made an offer, but don't quote me on that.

the jackets weren't supposed to be this bad. they've just had crazy bad injury luck to a number of key players

How does Pitt feels? Loosing such an important game to the AHL-roster Blackhawks to pretty much take themselves out of the playoff race must suck. The worst part for them is that it doesn't look any prettier for the next seasons.
