"With just two regulation wins this deep into the season, the Ducks are worse than anyone thought they would be this year. They rank fourth worst in goals for, dead last in goals against and their goal differential is 18 goals worse than any other team in the NHL. The Ducks aren’t just bad, they are brutal.

One of the biggest issues in Anaheim is that they seem to have no set system or structure to their game at either end of the ice. Defensively, they're running around with no idea how to play as a unit. Offensively, they show little to no creativity beyond their top talent, and they do nothing to manufacture offense. The coaching staff has either lost the room or lost the plot. Either way, it’s not good."

I wonder how much not having a go-to guy like Getzlaf has affected/will affect Verbeek’s decision to fire Eakins. Somebody that PV could approach straight up to get a read on the room.

Who would be that guy now? Shattenkirk? Fowler? Silfverberg?

Gibby as much as anyone I'd imagine. Terry has earned the right to be apart of such conversations as far as the rest go.

Jiricek looks great.... From the clips I've seen looks like the next Pietrangelo. 16 in 16 in the A.

Watching OTT@MIN and it's the 2nd Intermission.

Something seems off with Bill Lindsey. Slurring, hurried speach, incoherent thoughts, jumping from topic to topic, just uttering names, stutters, called Spurgeon - Surgeon. It seems like he starts talking about something and halfway through the sentence he forgets what he's talking about and shifts to a different topic/player.

Or maybe he's just excited?

Terry's on pace for about 70 points, which is just okay, so fair enough. It's an improvement from when our leading scorers were getting 50 points or something.
To put this in perspective, aside from last year the last time any Duck player was near that pace was the 2017-2018 team coached by Randy Carlyle:

Since then:

2018-2019 - Getzlaf with 48 points in 67 games
2019-2020 - Henrique with 43 points in 71 games
2020-2021 - Comtois with 33 points in 55 games
2021-2022 - Terry with 67 points in 75 games
2022-2023 - Terry on pace for 71 points

and before that you have to go all the way back to 2011/12 to get a player with over 60 points not named Getzlaf/Perry

McDavid is just absurd. 32 goals in 37 giving him a (very) outside shot at 50 in 50 and with 5 points tonight, he's actually pacing to hit the Gretzky/Lemieux 160 point threshold.
He had a 5 point night with Draisaitl and Kane both out of the lineup.

He will become the first player in 30 years to put up 150+ points this year

The last time a non-Gretzky or Lemieux player put up 150+ points in a season was Yzerman almost 35 years ago!
