You saved this post, which is still nearly totally accurate, and THIS is the moment you quote it? Weird attempt at a flex, but okay.

Domingue has yet to play a game as a Ranger, making him at best their 3, as I stated.

Blackwood is still at a 2.93GAA for his career, which is pretty damn close to 3.00, and has actually come down this season. So not really a "gotcha" or hot take there. And he is working on his 3rd straight .902 or worse save percentage season, so again, not exactly a gotcha or hot take. Really weird timing to quote resurrect.

Apparently the rule is if there is a scoring chance in progress the play should not be blown dead. I think it's that way to discourage goalies from just throwing the mask off when a puck is heading into the net

I don’t know her and will never know what’s really going on so can’t comment specifically on this.

As a general comment, a person who keeps going different places and has problems everywhere they go may need to look internally on what contribution they may have to that.

Also, talking negatively about players and front office staff publicly probably doesn’t help a case that appears to hinge on someone being mean to you.

I read this whole thing. Doerrie apparently needs a safe place, was told she'd have one, then when her boss questioned her posting on her social media she didn't like it. She seems very soft. The history certainly sided with that as well.

I totally agree that there is a problem with women in sports where they do not get the respect they deserve.

However, this is now the 2nd time this has happened with Doerrie.

Not sure why that poster thinks this is an internet gotcha moment. I posted that when he was laughing at the Rangers signing a 3/4 goalie. Who.... has yet to play a game for the Rangers. And yes, I was referring to Blackwood, who at the time (and still) has a career GAA approaching 3.00 (2.93 currently, despite being slightly better this year) and who is currently posting a 2nd consecutive sub-.900 sv%. So it's not like it was tremendously far off to think this was worth saving for whatever moment this was for.

Now that we have a thread dedicated to the suck of that player, I don't wanna talk about him too much in other threads.

But I honestly don't believe he's really a whole lot better than Louis Domingue at this point, I don't.

He certainly was INFINITELY better than Domingue when they both played here in 2019-2020, but that was 3 years ago now and A LOT has changed.

I read it too and it was cringeworthy. She’s trying to make it about her gender and likely exaggerated mental illness when she almost certainly violated the terms of her contract (she literally admits she “didn’t have time” to read the full contract).

Obviously we don't know what happened exactly, but she has burnt bridges in multiple organizations now. And did so very quickly. If she is indeed lying she doesn't just set herself backwards, she sets women in general backwards. I can't even tell you how much that pisses me off.

Not just that, but it would set back the acceptance of mental health as a legitimate issue as opposed to someone just crying mental health as an excuse to justify not taking accountability for your own issues.

Her actions are why her age group has the stigma it does, that's for sure. She essentially just ran herself out of her career but is being validated online by those in her circle.

And I'll be honest, I had no idea this was a thread on the Devils board. I replied here since I was tagged/quoted without realizing. Being that I'm a Predators/Rangers/Stars fan I'll just say: I'm super jealous of Hughes, Bratt, and Hischier. Many of my family are Devils fans, and I'm excited the rivalry is back on (if my Rangers can own up their end of that deal). Wish the Rangers high picks would look like those three on any given night.

I was one of the few Devils fans that was REALLY DOWN on goaltending coming into this season and thought it would be our downfall and keep us from getting off the ground. Not that I think everyone or really many were high on the goaltending, but I thought it was going to be a major deterrent in us being competitive.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure I laughed at Domingue to the Rangers too, because he sucks, but I also had less faith in our goaltending than anyone else on this forum.

I thought Domingue to the Rangers was particularly interesting, if not because of his play during the first round playoff series last year and the flashbacks to the hilarious Kreider game winner on him with 90 seconds left in game 6.
