It's a shame that Lyubushkin isn't more of an offensive defenceman! :help: :sarcasm: ;)
I for one am hoping he scores at home so we can hear that glorious music and see what his reaction would be.

I like Calgary's forward group.
I am actually prolly rooting for them in the west side. I love Huberdeau since his saint john seadog days and always had a soft spot for him and love the turn around they pulled off at the fiesta they faced.

Nick Ritchie with 2 goals to start the season in Arizona

I mean you can't help but laugh that he figured his shit out when he wasn't in the spotlight of Toronto.

Nick Ritchie seems like a player who would thrive more playing away from the spotlight on teams not really in contention.

Calgary - Toronto Cup

Also, Sens rebirth looked more like an afterbirth last night. Damn.

Maybe we could get Zub and Norris for cheap when they rebuild :)

Cup contender Sens lose 4-1 to Buffalo
Who considers the Sens a cup contender?

Love the idea of everyone having a personalized goal song. Leafs should do this
Place was buzzing after Matthews scored. Seems the only people who care deeply about the song aren’t in the building.
I’ve never heard one complaint

It's a joke from the mainboards. Sens fans have been thumping their chest all summer long

We didn't look very good in our first game either. I'm not saying Ottawa will be good, but we probably need 10-20 games to see where teams are at this year. Conversely, Buffalo looked good last night, but that doesn't mean they'll be a top team either.
I agree but it sure is fun to enjoy a rivals loss, they did the same after our first game.

100% Agree with everything here, I just like that they looked bad after one of the more hyped off-seasons I have seen in a while

First shot on Jack Campbell and its a goal. Welcome to Oiler Land. Lol

Jack Campbell with the great stat line.

2 shots, 2 goals.

Ha
He was very solid. Glad you noticed lol
McDavid is going to sweep the awards this year, isn't he.

Hart
Lindsey
Selke
Rocket
Art

I could see it!
Nah, as an Oilers fan, Matthews is now the gold standard for the Rocket. Drai will compete with him, but Matthews should win it every year automatically. McDavid can get 50 goals IMO. He is not selfish enough. Even Gretzky told him this summer to be more selfish. You seen it with Kane passing it to him on an EN.

Winning is more important than individual stats. Winning in the playoffs is more importanterTM.

I agree. I think most young players like the awards to start their career, but they just want a cup. They start adapting and round out their game. They know it will cement their legacy
