It’s not just the AAV that bothered me but the term. Don’t get me wrong 5M is too much but 5 years for a guy with an injury history and only 1.5 years as a starter at 30 is crazy.

i agree 100% 2 years max he was 29 and just had his first full season as a starter.

Campbell has gotten paid regardless of how he does, so if push comes to shove I’d rather he and the Oilers lose. Now if Campbell were on a short term “show me” contract then it’d be a different story.
