Glad Calgary won that one. I just don't know what to make of a team with that many ex-Leafs on it over there in Edmonton...

I'm sorry but idc and expect Campbell to flop in Edmonton. Had to listen all summer from oiler fans talk about Campbell and his play like theyve watched him more than leaf fans have. Thats 2 games now that he has had the Oilers off to poor starts in the games.

Was speed an issue with Kadri's skating? He does seem smoother, I recall he had a bit of a choppy stride before.

Must be something to do with Bednar's system cause I noticed a big improvement in Kadri's skating in COL. He was very choppy here, spent a lot of time falling over it seemed.

Every time they play the Leafs scores were like 6-1 Leafs, 5-2 Leafs, 3-0 Leafs, so you can’t really blame them there.

Wish Soup the best, 5 mil isn’t a terrible number for a competent 1A goalie who is sometimes elite and sometimes awful, but five years, oof, madone!

Kadri looked really good last night for the Flames. Love seeing this guy continue to excel!
Unpopular opinion, but there is no way he'd be that player here. He got an eye-opening wakeup call by being traded, and finally responded and realized he was slowly pissing his career away by not bearing down.

Good for him, I'm obviously very glad for him.....but had he stayed here I don't think he would have had this breakout....he needed that eye opener, and he was only going to get 3rd line and PP here..

Sometimes things dont work out and it is what it is but I loved that guy. It also doesnt help whent he refs legit will be like OK YOU GO TO THE BOX even if someone else sneezes.

Also no hockey tonight? WHY

He was definitely more of a darter here for more than a decade. Kind of spindly on his legs and lacking that lower center of gravity but notice way more straight line speed in Colorado and Calgary.

Assuming the Leafs don't make it to the Finals, would love to see Kadri lead the Flames to a Cup.

He's aging like fine wine.

Living in Calgary, Flames are the last team I'd like to see win the Cup.

Be like living in Ottawa if they won the Cup, with the hated Leafs getting as much air time as the home team, because they love to poop on them.

lol that would be annoying for sure. but tbh among the canadian teams, flames are probably the only one i'm more neutral about. can't stand canucks / oilers (though fun to watch) / jets / sens / habs.
