MacKinnon out 4 weeks. The Avs have been destroyed by injuries this season. Seems like Rantanen is the only healthy top 6 player for them lol

I think they'll still make the playoffs, but probably as a much lower seed as they try to grind through these next 3-4 weeks.

Detroit is ahead of Tampa in standing (points). At this moment if playoffs are tomorrow we play against Detroit

Yes I know about pts%, but I'm just saying...

Yeah I mean they have had an absolute cupcake schedule to start the season. Not to discredit the start because being that consistent is still really impressive against any strength of schedule. But they have a gauntlet back half of the schedule.
Start the season with a very light schedule playing mainly weaker teams, then cramming all the tougher games into a more condensed portion, and when the good teams will be even tougher as they are jockeying for position?

I understand the "no Sunday games when the Patriots are also playing" aspect, but maybe Jacobs isn't running the league as much as some people think.

I saw this and just want to share it here.

Thompson's breakout came out of nowhere .. He was mismanaged early in his career but put the work in when he went back to the A and has figured it out.

The ROR trade looked lopsided for a few years, especially after St Louis won the cup and the players received by Buffalo did nothing.

But that trade is evening out now quickly.

Boston is going off, but they're also getting some luck here

Avs/VGK are two of the best teams in hockey. They catch both with major injuries, VGK without Eichel/Pietrangelo and the Avs without most their top 6

Case in point, here is the Avs top 6 tonight:

Newhook - Rantanen - Hudon
Cogliano - Compher - O'Connor

lmao
