Big difference between what they've done and Leafs have done the past 5 years or so. They're still alive in the playoffs too.

The great visionary Kyle Dubas didn't think to move Nylander or Marner for M Tkachuk when he was available...some might not be aware this - for those who think how awesome Marner is, he has never reached 100 points, while M Tkachuk already has 2 consecutive seasons of 40 goals and 100 plus points with 2 different teams.

And it didn't matter with any other team. Calgary made a deal it liked with the team Tkachuk wanted to go to.
