He would have had to give up either Nylander, Matthews or Marner, and he wasn't willing to do that then.

So on that last PP for the Canes, Gostisbehere literally skated the puck to center and just fired it into the zone, Fast was first man in on the forcheck and the Canes had a 2v1 board battle that they won and got the puck back to the point.

Why couldn't we do this more often when we were consistently getting stood up at the blueline and struggling to make clean zone entries.

We need to become more balanced in the way we play that if plan A isn't working you have other options to make things work.

I really dislike Keefe. Get beat in 5 games, basically outclassed and still act like we blew an easy lane to the Stanley cup. Carolina looks way more dominant against Florida than the leafs did; basically controlling play the whole time.
