Where does the idea come from, that he'd move the team?
Just speculation but more money probably.

Sens currently stuck in the middle of nowhere. Currently no ideal arena in Ottawa so moving would be a potential chance i guess for a new owner?

I can't imagine MLSE or Sabres will be too keen on any move to the GTA. They will oppose 100% any risk to their ticket sales.

Not sure if Bettman will see this as a fight worth having either.

IMO they are the team to beat in the East.
Depends on goaltending which seems to be their constant achilles heel. Andersen has had an awful start to the season and missed all of last playoffs, and while Raanta is a decent goalie he's not really a reliable #1 as he's injury prone and inconsistent.

They have a very well-rounded team otherwise, along with the consistent effort to match. Rod's teams don't f*** around.

Rangers, Canes and Lightning are the only teams with solid nough D in the east. Raanta would have to get hot for the Canes to go to the SCF, but it could happen. I still like the Rangers.

They've also had issues scoring goals in the playoffs. I know Shesterkin was a beast last year, but the Canes scored 13 goals in 7 games, and only once more than 2 goals. If they're going to roll with average to above average goaltending, they'll need to score way more

Pacioretty might be a difference maker in the playoffs if healthy.

-Not sure what's up with Huberdeau and Lindholm. Flames kind of sagging with this home heavy schedule
-Blues are a dumpster fire, especially in net
-Seattle is actually decent?!?

And LOL Devils took the lead

Yeah, they've been missing that 'gamebreaker' type player, but their core forwards are still pretty young. Svechnikov is still only 22 years old, Necas is 23, Jarvis is 20 and in his second season (should've been our draft pick :banghead:) etc. Some growing pains there, Aho can't do it all himself. To your point I think Patches will make a difference as a skilled vet, along with Burns...and then they also have Stastny playing 4C which blows my mind lol.

I think the Islanders have the D, but not the scoring.

Just checked - third in GA/gm, which is no surprise, but fourth in GF/gm? Almost as big a shock as Buffalo being second. How did that happen?

Ok. Boston, Buffalo, Dallas and NYI each have 5 games they won by 3 (or more) goals. Buffalo has 7 empty netters, while Boston and NYI have 5 each.

They should all come back down to earth eventually.
