This Bruins Rangers game really shows the discrepancy in competitiveness and physicality between them and us.

Schneider is exactly what this team needs too. Wish we got him
We needed more offensive players .
Yep why worry about defence.

Rangers already had a good defense when they drafted him .
They just think differently than our managers team.
He probably didn't have good a good enough corsi .

Islanders aren't to bad

..... I'm not a huge Dubas fan but his pick was diagnosed with Cancer. It's not sensible to say he made the wrong choice.
Agreed. I don't hate the Amirov pick. But what I didn't like was the overconfidence of the posters shitting on Schnieder and Guhle on draft day. Those two were good choices too.

The only forward think is offense.
No forward thinking on .
Fast forward to today muzzin is probably finished.
And we have no defenseman on the Marlies.

So it begins....

Rangers literally had the worst defensive results in the league in the year before they drafted Schneider... By quite a bit too.
We needed defense.
We needed LW prospects just as much. We had already drafted 11 defensemen over the previous 3 drafts, including using our 1st and 2nd round picks on them in 2017 and 2018 (one of which was a 6 foot 5, 200+ lb RHD FYI). We had Sandin and Liljegren on the way up, we had a fairly young Dermott, we had Holl who had emerged from our system, we had Rielly and Muzzin as anchors on the defense, and we had intentions of targeting Brodie.

We also still drafted 4 right-handed defensemen in that draft, including Niemela, who won best defenseman at the WJC in his post-draft year.

Schneider hasn't even shown to be anything special yet, so I don't know why we're stressing over him. He wouldn't even be in the NHL yet if we had drafted him. He probably shouldn't even be in the NHL with New York, because he's not doing very well.

He did that in 8th grade? That's a decent amount of time ago. I'm going to guess he has changed.
Allegedly still hasn’t even apologized to the family for it, according to them. I’m all for giving second chances, but this kid hasn’t been remorseful in any way, except for how it affected him. I would hope that part of his signing is to do some degree of social and community work, to atone for his errors.

He still hasn't which is odd. Like dude apologize, get some closure and move on

From Boston point of view, they are looking at him as next Krug type of find. If they don't like him, they'll cut lose. They probably made that clear with him and Boston has no problem getting rid of people

Lol Schneider is terrible. Perfect example of a player who's physical but can't do anything else at the NHL level. He is the least offensively productive dman on the Rangers and gets outchanced by a crazy amount when he's on the ice.

Says he apologized to the kid in his statement. The kid was 13 years old and made a mistake. Unless he is still a prick, he should not be punished for the rest of his life.

He's young... and chances are, having him play in the NHL isn't what's necessarily best for him. I think he's going to be a useful guy, but I would have kept him in the AHL longer, and taught him more. I'm not saying I regret our draft choice at all, just that I think he's been rushed, and that isn't going to be good for him LT.
