So far the Sabres look like the Kessel era Leafs.

Comrie/Andersen have had a crazy good start to the season and scoring has improved but Im not sure about long term success when you are giving up near 40 shots a game (2nd most in the NHL)

xGA is a little kinder to them though...

In news that shocks the hockey world, JT Miller is not in fact a 1.2 PPG guy but more likely a 65-75 point guy who also may be kind of a douchebag (see him and Schenn talking, in addition to some of the smoke around the team last year).

Some people wanted to trade Willy+ for him, unbelievable…

I know our old boy Naz probably isn’t a PPG+ guy either - but he plays defense, and will fight, and plays with heart and oh yeah, was a crucial part of a Cup winner.

And Pettersson, who still weighs 120 lbs? Nice deal he has that carries him to one year before UFA, if he doesn’t want out now, and he’s had bad body language for a few years, after another two years of no playoffs he will. They’ll get something nice for him.

I’m sitting here laughing, that rebuild needs a rebuild.

Team PDO numbers so far:

Teams with crazy high PDO's (luckiest teams that are going to come back down to earth IMO):

1. Dallas
2. Buffalo
3. St. Louis

Teams that have probably been playing better than their results:

31. New Jersey
32. Vancouver

The fact New Jersey is still 3-2 is good news for them. Vancouver sure picked a helluva time to not get any puck luck though.

Meh I think he's a fine coach but roster is way too flawed for him to work with. Almost as if Green wasn't the problem.
Finns that he has coached don't think so. He run old boys club mentality, where key players have different set of rules and doesn't have a really any clue about the game. I think his one of those coaches, that can get some success with good team by pumping up and running with his stars.

Boy if this was Kadri doing the slashing and cross checking then this would have been a super dangerous play. Luckily for Kuch it wasn't.

After Tkachuk made that tough play, Radko left Point all alone for the winner. Gotta kill off those type of penalties.

Nah, it was just a lightl-hearted poke at the idea of reading WAY too much into one game, something you see a lot of on HF.
1 game? HF Leafs’ fans are basing off 328 regular season games + 5 play in games + 21 playoff games + history.

Give me them in round 1. Either we beat them and gain the momentum to go on a run, or we lose to them 3 times with this core and management hopefully realizes this isn't working
By management, do you mean the Board? If they don’t win a round there will be a bunch of unemployed folks.

Wouldn’t it increase their chances at CB if he actually played?
You are right lmao but if he’s injured they bring up their third string goalie so you really can’t lose… in this case win lmao

Also watching the oilers make me realize how bad it must have been for them in net if they are still applauding Campbell after those stats but then again I haven’t watched fully so it very well could be the defense is in shambles and he’s trying to hold it down for them.

I like Campbell but I dunno if he’s the one that will get the the job done in the end

Getting some delicious schadenfreude watching Oilers fans blowing up at Campbell for letting in softies and getting upset with their dogshit defensemen like Tyson Barrie.

Poor Oilers fans :D

Vancouver "Salute-Gate" incoming? 🤔

And.... hmmm.... :dunno:

I mean he aint wrong...you are spending money and then the money you spent and throw it on ice...i guess some people can afford to throw away 300+ bucks easy peasy. Also that is beyond sad that fans literally bothered him while he was with his family....

I really like Campbell as a person/human being but I just dont think he's the solution...who knows. But the way it looks like...people are still satisfied with the performances he's giving...I guess we were lucky enough that the expectation was higher that we moved on.

I feel bad for Boudreau.

But I sort of want VAN to fail because Horvat would be a great deadline add for us if he becomes available.
