4-1 Caps now. Boston also losing. Good night so far
And yet there is a very unhinged poster screaming about "unprecedented overpayments" to our core derailing threads.I was today years old when I learned a career high of 11 goals can earn a centre 8 million a year...

Ya some of the contracts based on potential are getting nuts. Its like RFA years are worth double what they used to beI was today years old when I learned a career high of 11 goals can earn a centre 8 million a year...
I have a soft spot for him but damn that sucks to hear and see tbh.In former Leafs news, Galchenyuk is having a poor season. He was injured to begin the year but in the 9 games he has played he’s only racked up 2 assists. At this rate he’ll be KHL bound next year. Maybe he should’ve taken whatever deal the Leafs offered him instead of thinking he was hot shit after three months of play and f***ing us over in the playoffs. Now he’s wallowing on an awful Arizona team and has zero chance of building up any real value for another contract.
Many wrote off the Panhers playoff performance last year and did not think much of Ekblad being out of their line up. But look at him and the Panthers now. Ekblad 6g and 14a and +18.
Ekblad's a stud who has taken some pretty bad injuries over his career but is making a great case for him to be on Canada's Olympic roster this year.
I dont think the fact he has only a single playoff point in 10 games over an eight-year career will be held against him.
“He talked to us this morning,” teammate Taylor Hall said after the game.
“He just said, ‘I love you guys. This is something in my career that you know I’m at a crossroads,’ and he’s gonna have to do. But he’s not a distraction at all. It’s almost better that it’s out there, you know, you have a day to kind of digest that and Jake’s a great kid. He’s got a lot of skill and he’s gonna have a good career in this league. And as a group, as an organization, I think you deal with those distractions head on and and you just go play the game and that’s the culture. That’s the model that we have and whoever’s in you got to play well. That’s what we said this morning. We expect Jake to play as well as he can, even under the circumstances.”
DeBrusk seemed to fall out of favor with Boston last season, and Sweeney let on that he’s been aware of the request for some time.
