I think it's very possible that both finish over 140 points this season if healthy

I think they gonna do what they did with the 2019-2020 season. Probably use points percentage to identify playoff teams. The olympics deal has already been agreed by NHL not sure they would be able to back out unless otherwise the agreement was signed that way to say if due to covid teams lose certain games then no olympics

Spoiler: they always use points percentage for everything

It's just that sometimes (I.e. when all teams have played 82gms), points match up with points percentage.

This is quite interesting as been suggesting the League might opt out the Olympics due to COVID in order to make up the games if more teams are force to shut down.
Just curious what is the number of players needed for the league to say, let’s postpone a few games instead of you better tough it out and treat it as injuries.

I doubt the Olympics would be in jeopardy imo. Ottawa has 10 players and 1 coach from what I read so I guess that is around the number teams will need to get to for the NHL to postpone games.

3 or 4 scraps, one doozie, in that TB NYI game last night. About as entertaining a game as you can get in mid November

agreed, but I think many players will accept fines and go. I think Ovechkin is going come hell or high water LOL. Same with Hedman

That's not true or can't be true. I am told here by Leafs fans that if you fight you lose the game. You should always aim for 2 points
Why stand up for your team mates when you can get 2 points

So the Chara fight was four seconds into the game... hardly what you'd call standing up for team mates.

There was one other fight, and indeed Cirelli was standing up for his teammate.

There were two other fights. Kilron also fought and so did Boris Kathchouk
The point stands. Cirelli didn't care about the two points, neither did the lightings

Oh yeah, they also got the two points. You can have both in life

I missed the game... yet there were no other roughing penalties, nor fighting majors given...

That TB team is mean as a pack of wolves. Dirty as snakes, too. Needless to say, I love watching them play.

Those teams have a history so it was just setting the tone. Matthieu Joseph was interviewed after 1 and he was praising Maroon.
