He was talking shit all series, basically insinuating that the Leafs couldn't win games on their own, and that Tampa had to hand them the victory in order for it to happen.
He mentioned the obvious that they gave themselves no chance to win by not playing properly.

I guess Cooper is not in the "respect" business. he oughta talk to keefe

that said, FU cooper you cry baby woosball. Game 6 you were give a f***ing 5 on 3 against the Leafs on two phantom calls back to back to tie the game. You had nothing going until then.

Karma is a BITCH Cooper. You don't have to be one though

Could not have said it better myself. Love seeing that pu**y absolutely melt during that post game presser.

I can’t see Tampa getting up off the mat, they’re too beat up, the altitude doesnt help, it’s over on Friday.

Way to not quote the Kerfoot part of the paragraph. Kerfoot is insignificant.
Except your Kerfoot part doesn't change anything. You can't completely dismiss Kerfoot, call him a "nothing burger" and "insignificant", claim the trade was multiple years of Kadri for 1 year of Barrie at 50%, and then when called out on your incorrect statements, fall back on the fact that you referenced Kerfoot's existence while you were dismissing him.

Kerfoot is not insignificant. Kerfoot is not a "nothing burger". He's a good, versatile middle-six forward who is good defensively and good on the PK. The trade was 3 years of Kadri for 4 years of Kerfoot and 1 year of Barrie at 50% retention, which is quite different from the "all-in" "gamble" you were trying to represent it as.

I’ll never forget, literally no one here or anywhere for that matter argued we needed a soft, defensive liability offensive D man the off-season we actually traded Kadri for one.
Actually, a lot of people acknowledged that we needed a cheap, high-minute right-handed defenseman who could move the puck, and people here were constantly demanding a PP defenseman with a good shot. And pretty much everybody in hockey seemed perfectly fine with it at the time when they were saying that Dubas got a steal.

And for the record, the first defenseman target, that was blocked by Kadri, was Brodie - who has been absolutely amazing for us and a perfect fit since we acquired him for free a year later.

I’m curious to see what he does this summer with all the job openings on the roster.

What Kampf did was fine. It happens dozens of times in the game. It was a garbage call by incompetent refs in a huge moment.

It happens though. Leafs still had a chance to win it. Kerfoot's high stick deserves to be criticized though. He was way too aggressive on a PK.

Kerfoot highstick was Hedman basically lifting kerfoot’s stick to his face

Just curious, is there anything you can criticize Dubas for or has every move he's made been the right one? I'm pretty sure even he would acknowledge he's made a number of mistakes since taking over.

The Kadri trade was bad from the outset and many people knew it. Avs fans knew Barrie would be a disaster and very few people, at least on this board, thought it was a steal.

Kerfoot is a replacement level player with very little impact. He makes stupid decisions, and in this past playoffs alone took two stupid penalties that impacted two different games.

If you want to argue that Kadri's decision making was equally bad or worse, go for it, but let's not pretend that Kerfoot couldn't easily be replaced in any offseason.

Kadri for Brodie would have also been bad value based on term, although Brodie has been a much better dman for the Leafs.

Much like how Dubas put himself in a weak position to negotiate the post-ELC contracts for Marner and Matthews, he put himself in a poor position to trade Kadri. There was no reason to get rid of Kadri that summer, certinsly not for mediocre value and a dman whose style really didn't fit. The Avs knew management was frustrated with Kadri, and Dubas traded him after a down year.

Kadri would have been fine on the wing with Tavares until he rebuilt his value. It was a bad trade then and a worse trade now.
