I didn't realize that the Leafs are the only team in history to not only come back from 3-0 in the finals but also 3-1 lol  1942 Stanley Cup finals vs Detroit. I thought someone else would've done 3-1, but the last time a team even came close was the Oilers in 2006 and they blew game 7.

Byram with 28 minutes of ice time in a Stanley Cup final game.

meanwhile Leafs scratch Liljegren for a Pylon Holl who let Point walk in uncontested to score OT goal and had plenty of unforced giveaways in game 7 and took a stupid f***ing interference penalty to get the goal called off

JOKE of a GM who "protected" this JOKE of a player

JOKE of a coach who scratched Lily in favour of this JOKE of a player

My blood just boils

I can't believe that people are still blaming Campbell - a goalie that exceeded our every wildest expectation when we picked him up, providing goaltending well beyond what we should've gotten for the bargain basement price we could afford to pay.
With all that being said his goals against was under 900

TB not getting the calls is *chef kiss*. Poor guy can't handle it. I can't imagine how much he'd be upset coaching the Leafs.

Cooper is an idiot . Wow is me, try being a leaf fan being scrued over many time by bad calls leading to goals mmmmm I think your team benefited or you wouldn't be here . He's crying about the cap reality check Cooper your team has a shit load more advantages than any other team . Such a sore lower.

There's a big difference between Byram and Liljegren as players as one was a former 4th overall pick.

Leafs have had comically bad decision making and luck in OT the past two seasons with the series on the line. Galchenyuk's brain dead pass for which I'll curse him forever, Dermott's stupid spin-o-rama pass, and Matthews falling over leading to a Lightning counterattack that ended up in our net. Absurd.

Wish I didn't remember them all vividly. Smh

Not really blaming Campbell as much as pointing out the Leafs won't win with him. His OT numbers are putrid and you need to win in OT in the playoffs.

Dubas will need to find someone better going forward.

I guess Cooper is not in the "respect" business. he oughta talk to keefe

that said, FU cooper you cry baby woosball. Game 6 you were give a f***ing 5 on 3 against the Leafs on two phantom calls back to back to tie the game. You had nothing going until then.

Karma is a BITCH Cooper. You don't have to be one though

Hahaha .... "it's hard for me to speak puts hands up... your going to see when you see the goal...I'll speak with you tomorrow "

Does he plan to suck his thumb to fall asleep tonight?

Man, thinking back of all those Kerfoot > Kadri arguments... with the 5-on-5 ES P/60's being tossed around as "proof" we won the trade

The guy is going to be haunting Dubas' dreams tonight, and probably forever, as quite possibly one of the worst reactionary trades in modern history.
Dubas selling asset to win now, when the team was nowhere ready. Not to mention his own coach knew that Barrie wasn't a player that cups are won with. Can't tell Dubas that though - he was the boy genius.

It was a bit of a gamble at the time that one year of retained salary on Barrie was worth multiple years of outgoing Kadri. Like losing to Boston had them circle 2019-20 as the big year to win it all. Kerfoot was always a nothing burger so I wouldn't say their big plan was to have him be their 3C at $1 million less than Kadri.

Why didn't he challenge?

speculation on twitter is that he is bitching about too many men for the avs when kadri scored.

first -> F him! Leafs got screwed in Game 6 so F Tampa and F cooper

second; by cooper's definition of the call Tampa has 7 players on the ice

Liljegren was projected there before mono.

They really aren't that different of players. Not huge, good, puck moving defensemen who produced decently 5 on 5 in sheltered minutes and played well with different partners slowly earning more ice time.

Only difference is that Keefe fell in love with Boosh/Holl for some stupid reason.

It's like if the Aves sat Byram to get both Jack Johnson and Kurtis Macdermid in the lineup.

Our luck we trade Tavares and he goes on to start a dynasty team somewhere with a three peat.

He should go back to the Islanders. They're one of the best teams over the past few years, with two conference finals appearances. This season was an aberration. Tavares could be the one to help them win the Cup.

Guaranteed this will prompt the league to make too many men penalties subject to video review. Like the Duchene offside goal, it takes something embarrassing happening for the league to get off their asses and do something.

true but this wasn't too many men though.

He would've easily gotten an offersheet too of way more. Sigh meanwhile we were lucky enough to deal with Marner... threats to sign in Swiss league, rumors of offersheets, and then a thank you letter to fans..... what a spectacle

cherry on top

- against montreal 1) puck over the glass gives them 5 on 3; game 7 turns over the puck on teh offensive blue line and montreal scores first

- game 6 against tampa, his stupid f***ing pass gets picked up in the OT and tampa transitions to score; as point just passes the puck in the net while Holl just watches point skate by doing absolutely nothing
