This franchise unlike any other franchise has shot ourselves on our foot for so many years
It's almost like we want to lose and be humiliated

Sittler, Keon, Frank M the list goes on and on and on

Well, there was the Red Kelly trade!

Thinking outside the box, don't get locked into where a player can and can't play.

He was suspended his first year in Colorado, for someone who talks about needing change when things keep happening, I figured you'd be all over wanting Kadri gone.

His second year aftuallly.

His first season he was great in the playoffs but was the one who made a bad giveaway on a series clinching goal for Dallas in that series.

Happy he’s had such a huge year but the romanticizing really needs to stop.

Who else took a team-friendly deal? MacKinnon was paid fair.
Makar is a steal at his current deal

Landeskog on his prior deal was a discount

Rantanen is a discounted deal, he as good as marner but makes 1.6M less

They have a bunch of good deals even outside of Mackinnon

Got Kuemper for only 700k more than Mrazek though that may have been a trade I think or a sign and trade. 4.5M for a top 10 goalie is great value

Some would say in modern times it really started with Larry Murphy

Ah yes, another guy who won the Cup as soon as he left the Leafs.

Murphy's another victim of circumstance. Great defenseman on a team who's core was past it's contending window. Fletcher should've kept rebuilding on the fly instead of trying to recapture the glory days by re-acquiring Clark. The pick that went for Clark ended up being Luongo.

Nah I wanted to move him to the wing. Just needed him to reign in the emotion. I get the Leafs Management blaming him. It's too bad he won't be helping us win the cup.

That’s what a good GM does. You want to be fair but you also have a team to build.
Dubas just saw 4 guys and now is desperate to prove we can and we will.

Yeape. They should have scraped that team long time ago. Fletcher did what only he thing knew how to do, trade pics

There was no reason to bring Clark back. As much as I loved Clark
Kenny Jhonsson was a pretty good D. We needed to keep him along with the first rounder

thats the curse of being in Toronto, the Hockey Center!, trade your good player low because your fan bashing and scapegoat him. Happene to Kardri, will come to Nylander soon!

Honestly Kadri's success elsewhere makes me more confident that Nylander won't be moved. Ignoring Dubas' promise to Nylander, the Kadri trade is the biggest example of making a move for the sake of it gone wrong. Barrie was a terrible fit and Kerfoot has done nothing of note in his time here. One playoff series where he was top three in scoring for our team is nothing to write home about.

Rantanen is not as good as Marner, Kuemper is trash (go check the Avs board), Landeskog's prior deal is a higher CH% than his current, I don't think Makar is as good as everyone else does, but yes his deal is under his value.

Trading Murphy wasn't wrong. Just made no sense why they gave him away. Fletcher also elected not to trade Clark that deadline, because supposedly we needed headliners instead of first round picks.

Jesus Christ, just awful. Murphy for nothing and holding Clark. At least when we held Sundin it was because Mats didn't want to go. Fletcher not trading Clark is lunacy.

Leafs would have lost in OT tonight. Avs have found the killer instinct.
Looking for them to continue the onslaught in game 5.

Yep. Losing is a team effort but Campbell has given the Leafs no chance to win in OT for two seasons straight now. Comically bad numbers.
