GDT: Around the League - 2021/22 PART IV

The one positive is that it does expire when he is only 30. You are at least getting only prime years in there.

If I am Seattle though, I am not loving when his shooting percentage regresses. He is a career sub 11% shooter with back-to-back 15+% seasons. The chances of that being maintained long term are not great.

And the Leafs are not paying a guy like that 5 mill. Never in a million years.

Holl at 2 mil is more value than McCann at 5.

When JT and Nylander get their head out of their ass they can create a 20 goal scorer for us. We don't need to spend 5 mil

Would it have been better value for this season though? Tough to say.

Fans like you want to complain about Durzi, but don’t actually want a D like Durzi. If you are going to complain, at least do it right.

This guy was available at the Amirov pick and is looking great right now. Admittedly I was against drafting him at the time but he is making me eat crow.

That's a good deal for McCann. I like him, but I'd be wary about banking on his ability to put up points without prime opportunity (top 6 5v5 + 1st unit pp) so not sure I'd I'd touch the deal from the Leafs pov.

Seattle needs bodies and he probably stays in that top six for the duration of that deal

The McCann contract seems a bit rich when considering career numbers. Pittsburgh and Seattle McCann should be able to make good on it though.
 
Tampa got outscored 4-1 in the 3rd period of a tie game to lose 7-4 to the 20th ranked Winnipeg Jets.
Colorado blew a 3-0 lead and lost 5-3 to the 26th ranked New Jersey Devils.
Vegas lost 2-1 to the 27th ranked Philadelphia Flyers.
St Louis lost 4-1 to the 28th ranked Ottawa Senators.
