What’s more embarrassing is that the Oilers let the Caps hang around this game considering the Caps played Calgary last night. I mean who do they think they are? The leafs?

Where tf was this ritchie when we had him

It's almost like the guy who had a shooting percentage that was like 1/3 of his career average wasn't going to normalize it eventually.

Arizona is a good fit for him, and are actually using him properly. We did neither.

Calgary is a well built team. They have a strong presence in every critical role
Goalie - D and forwards

What’s using him properly like though? Feels like the Leafs tried him everywhere in the line up and he couldn’t make much of an impact

He was given every opportunity. It's not unusual for a player to play well in a non pressured enviornment. Unfairly or fairly lot more was expected out of him. He can play any game in Arizona and it's ok. But in Toronto and a team gearing up for playoffs, he has to have a functional role. He really isn't good at anything to be functional

I think Ritchie was ultimately rendered redundant/surplus to requirements here. Any doubts entering the season surrounding the likes of Kase (injuries) and Bunting (relative lack of NHL experience) more or less evaporated. The Kampf signing that pushed Kerfoot to the wing was yet another spot taken.

Oilers have gotten awarded 6 PP so far tonight.

Also, TB giving LOIler fans false hope.
TB doesn’t seem to give one damn about this game against the Oilers.

Just when you thought we were kings of drop passes and wide angle shots
