Not even sure what the Flyers are trying to achieve, reminds of when the Leafs refused to 'tank' and do a proper rebuild and just randomly oversign mediorce players like Risto. I remember a few years ago how their prospect pool was one of the best, and at this point like none of those overhyped prospects have done anything. Taking Patrick 2nd overall aint looking good either. Then they have a really good goalie stealing games from them.

The fact that Giroux is still their catalyst up front when he wasn't a cup caliber catalyst even in his prime is kinda sad.

This is quite ironic, because we're only still talking about this because you inserted yourself into a finished conversation, in order to take offense to me... simply correcting something that was incorrect... The only thing I take offense to is you mischaracterizing me and what I do. It wasn't "close enough"; it was pretty much the exact opposite.

What actually happened: Leafs won 5-3.

But oh, of course he was talking about this other game that he said nothing about and has a different score, and not the game he said!

Even in that game, we did not get "embarrassed". We largely outplayed them with a depleted roster, and lost because our goaltending couldn't stop a beachball. You even agree that regardless of which game, it has no relevance anyway, as this was years ago and both teams have gone through many changes. We do very much stack up with them despite the implication of the comment.

The reason why im inserting myself into the convo because there isnt another poster on this board as critical of others posts and demand perfection of every detail like you do... so im being you for your posts.

You said the game was not embarrassing, yet Sportsnet heading reads "leafs embarrassed", Marner said they "hung their goalies out to dry", and the Athletic reads "leafs have lackluster effort"

looks like you are just as incorrect in your details as the poster your being critical of.

You said the 8-4 game itself was not embarrassing but Sportsnet said it was "embarrassing" and The Athletic said the leafs effort was "lackluster".... I made a simple correction to your post, what's the problem?
