eklund looked pretty good in his short time with the sharks
still would've rather had him than mctavish

I liked them both. Some people were rejoicing when Ottawa picked Sanderson because that prevented our scouts from making the "mistake" of picking him. Personally I had hoped that both would be available so that the scouts could get the guy they liked best, whichever it was. It will indeed be interesting to see how they both turn out.At the draft I liked Sanderson a little hair bit more than Drysdale... I know we didn't have the option to choose between but it will be fun watching them develop vs each other.
Really? I didn't know that. There is always a lot of speculation, but I didn't know that anything like that had actually been confirmed. The Ducks are usually very tight-lipped about everything.IIRC we liked Sanderson slightly more and were always going to take one of the dmen assuming Raymond went 4th which he did.
I recall some quotes after the draft as well that could be interpreted as they liked Sanderson more but can't back that up with any actual source atm at least.Really? I didn't know that. During the Rangers vs. Penguins game there was a great example of how the Terry fight should have been handled, linesman jumped in and saved Matheson from a beating he clearly wanted no part of and the Ranger player (didn’t catch who it was) let up when he realized Matheson wasn’t throwing and the linesman was jumping in.
That was hilarious. I was actually a bit shocked they didn’t give him an extra 2, the linesman was justifiably pissed.Agreed. The funniest part is when Matheson finally get's his sweater back on properly so that he can see and realizes that he is facewashing the linesman.

Hes got 74 goals in his last 84 games.... Of course he gets most of the credit.Matthews gets all the credit but it’s Marner that drives his production. He’s got the best playmaking winger in the game driving the play on that line. He’s a great player but he really benefits from playing with Marner.
For anyone who doesn’t buy it look at Tavares’ goal totals pre Marner and post playing on a line with Marner.
Love watching players that actually like playing DEFENSE. Insane PK skills defending the line like that some of them were even 5 on 3's....
Yeah he's damn good. Hampus did a lot of unflashy plays like that defensively that don't make it to highlights. When playing at the edge of your stick is a good thing. Seriously, that guy looks like his stick is another limb. So much control and spatial awareness.
