LA lost Doughty but just saw on Twitter the schedule: LAK will face 0 playoff teams after tonights match, while by a quick look VGK will face mostly playoff teams. That race will be interesting

Valeri Nichushkin joins the 20 goal club with his 1st ever 20 goal season and is now also guaranteed to be above 0.5 PPG per 82 games with his 42nd point of the season coming from that goal.

Part of me wants to see the Canucks sneak in because there would be legions of Flames fans at the games in Vancouver. I really wouldn’t mind it if Vegas held them off honestly

The Kings are obviously shorthanded, but the Avs look unbeatable when they play like this.
Despite their terror against us, I would not mind Avs in the finals, especially now that Manson is there. They have some seriously good players and I hope Byram could sort himself out eventually.
On the other side, I have a soft spot for the Cats. They're our inaugural buddies after all, but they have some seriously good roster that they built over the years. Even when they lost both Smith and Marchessault for nothing, lol. I hope we rebuild faster than them, lol

I got to watch the Kings get slaughtered in person last night, it was a good night.

Boy Makar and MacKinnon are something else . Makar makes some of the best players in the world look foolish with his skating many times a game, it’s amazing to watch.

it'll be interesting to see where the kings go from here

even if they sneak into the playoffs, they'll likely be out in round 1. do they double down on trying to go for one more run with their core and bring in more vets? or do they start a youth movement? i figured they were doing the latter the last few seasons but then they brought in guys like danault and arvidsson this offseason

Really interesting article on Corey Sznajder (@ShutdownLine on Twitter) and his methods. Can't imagine the patience it takes to sit there and manually track plays in so many games.
I guess it truly takes a singular focus to develop a philosophy of observation that is utterly beside the point. What a f***ing dope.

Interesting that two of the top 6 players are Marners linemates. Shows just how good of a playmaker he is. Also Guentzal in the two spot shows how elite Crosby still is at finding open players.

Draisaitl with another two goals tonight. Can you imagine the numbers him and McDavid would put up if they played together at ES?

Pretty elite company he’s in. Also shows how incredible Gretzky was, even compared to Mario he’s almost double the amount of multi assist games.
