Olofsson just hit 20 goals on a woeful Buffalo side. If he’s for whatever reason available this off-season it would be a good acquisition to play alongside Zegras, he can really snipe. They would need a good two way winger to play with on the other side though.

10 of the 12 top scorers for the Panthers have set career highs in points this year and all their top 12 scorers have more than 30 points.

Scoring is up by huge amounts this year (we are seeing the highest rates since 95-96) so a bit of context is required when evaluating anyones numbers this season but that’s still pretty incredible. They’re absolutely stacked.

So the Ducks can really play the spoiler villain the next couple of games. Who said there wasn‘t any meaningful hockey. Lol.

If there’s a way for Vancouver to get in and Vegas/LA to both miss that would be so good.

If one of Vegas/LA has to make it I hate saying this but I would rather it be LA. They’re less likely to win a round and also f*** Vegas.

Same. Except LA making the playoffs means a worst draft pick. The Golden Knights Draft pick belongs to the Sabres unless they win the Lotto.

Kings get Swept and the Golden Knights miss the playoffs is the best of both worlds.

I'll never root for the Kings for anything or over anyone. Sorry not sorry, beat them and knock them out of playoffs and that will hold me over til next season.

I hate LA for multiple reasons. Ducks rival and 2014. But the whole Vegas thing this season between the cap circumventing, Eichel trade, and the Dadonov debacle, I hope they miss. Of course Vancouver making it over both of them would be ideal, but they have to win most of their remaining games, if not all of them.

Am I the only one perplexed towards the hate against Vegas? We have basically zero history of bad blood with them as a team. Especially, compared to the Nashville, Kings and Stars of the world. New NHL fans?

1. fanbase that has never experienced losing
2. franchise is run by a bunch of scumbags who treat their personnel like shit
3. cap circumvention

not to mention they entered the league right as the ducks began their downward spiral so they've had our number for their entire existence. they're very easy to hate

You forgot Theodore. And Wild Bill. And how they both went on to behave as though they were unwanted misfits who were wronged by the organisation (which you can't really blame them for, I guess, but still).

Whatever the case, Vegas is partially to blame for the loss of Theodore anyway. f*** Vegas.

Hopefully McT can take the sting out of watching Edvinsson develop into a dominant blueliner. At least it's vindicating, I was all about Edvinsson heading into the draft. There isn't a D in this years draft who gives off the same studly vibe.
Agreed, he'd be a great fit for our fragile blueline.

i vaguely recall karlsson mentioning the ducks in the past, but theodore i don't remember. if karlsson is mad at being kicked to the curb, it's columbus he should be talking about anyways

edvinsson was intriguing but i thought he was far too raw to make an impact anytime soon. looks like i was wrong
