Yeah and in 2014 Ovi stood by him despite the annexation Crimea from a peaceful country. Its clear where Ovi stands. He say he favors peace but that is just to avoid being boycotted imo.

Things are getting nervous for the Baltic nations. I can't imagine what it would be like for a Finn or Latvian to play on the Capitals.

I don't see a probem to play for the Capitals. It's not like Ovi is aggressively pushing something, if anything, he would get kicked out for anything like that. He is just... absolutely clueless. I believe he's a good guy, I've seen that. But he has like... no idea what's going on. It's just not a role model stuff let's say

Watching Lindholm against the Rangers today, gonna sound like @bsu lol. But should have taken a risk on him, for the 8 years. Would have given a more stable Top 4 while prospects and the current roster kids develop.

I don‘t regret Manson who is struggling and showing why the Ducks had to move on. Rakell , still on the fence with that. Hard to tell how he is doing since he is Kunitz’ing it now. Lol.

He's looking like Hedman out there in the D zone. He looks even stronger somehow lol, maybe it's the black and yellow.

Pleased to hear that.
Extending him would also benefit us because we just don't have his level of prospect in the system. Drysdale and Zell maaaaaybe, but if they pan out they will be offence guys.
Still, somewhat ok to move him. He definitely benefits from a better team and he deserves every bit of that contract. Feels like better for both sides where he can spend his peak in a competitive team (albeit I doubt Bruins will gonna win the cup anytime soon)

Rakell seems to produce in Pitt very nicely, he's is a good player. And a great player if he can play a 2nd fiddle on his line

Regarding Manson, his +/- seems out of ordinary in his career. He ofc has his shortcomings, but I would give him the benefit of the doubt and see how he looks in the playoffs.

Also watching this game, I think the Ducks should try and trade for DeBrusk, a proven 20 goal scorer just entering his prime. If he still wants out that is. Don’t see him being too expensive. Those are the kind of players that seem realistic to me now, till Verbeek is more aggressive When they are ready to compete again.

yup, the fact he did it in the back of the head makes it even worse than the matthews cross check. Parros continues to suck.
 
Pronger had a ''playoff curse'' that whenever he switched teams, the previous one would not qualify for the playoffs.

Eichel seems to have a different ''playoff curse'' going on :laugh: Vegas missing the playoffs is all but official it seems Lost to NJ, lost one point to SJ.
EDIT: after checking it, they actually have a game vs Dallas. If they win it in regulation, they are only 1 point back. But Dallas will play ARI and us while Vegas will play CHI and STL. Doesn't look promising but that DAL-VGK matchup should be really really good tomorrow.

Yep, me too. But I think given the phase and division we were in, it was always a tall task. But Bennett is the Murray-era Duck type of player, which I love. And there were rumors we were really interested.
 
Lehner indeed decided to get surgery because deboer has been treating him like shit. That franchise is just the worst.

I’ve been on debrusk trsin for a while… I really like his game as a complimentary middle 6 player.
