I have no idea why Josi isn’t getting more Hart recognition, let alone Norris recognition. He’s got 72 points in 59 games, is comfortably leading his team in scoring and is the only reason they are still in playoff contention.

A couple of weeks ago I was ready to hand out the Norris to Hedman or Makar. How I think it has to go to Josi.

Josi is a beast. Currently on a pace for 98 points. That is ridiculous.

On pace for the best offensive season by a Predator in history. I didn't know until that main board thread was made that Kariya had their franchise record.

I didn’t think the kings would hold on to a spot with him in the lineup, if he’s out the rest of the year it will be a miracle if they hold on. That said Vegas is also free falling with major injuries so who knows, the Kings might hang on.

Vegas lose 4-0 to Jets. I looked at their roster and they're sure thin on defense due to the injuries. They have Hutton playing 20 minutes. Yikes!

They've been hit with a little much but it's crazy that actions have consequences. There's a reason people were skeptical they could add Eichel in the first place.

just when you thought the kings are out, they're beating nashville 6-1

definitely not counting that team out despite all their injuries and how inconsistent quick has been

Last night's results were kind of good for us. Now, by P% we could be picking #9, if I'm not mistaken.
There is still some hockey left to play, but looks like a top 10 pick is of very high possibility, we'll see maybe even further. Albeit now there's a gap.
I hope we get some wins as well, but I wouldn't mind a Top10 pick at all. Bruins one could be in low 20-s, so those would be 2 decent picks.

I'm not entirely sure how the current lottery system works, but isn't it still technically possible to finish tenth and rise a few spots in the lottery without outright winning the whole thing? Ideally we'd do just that.

No, only possible to win the draw for the first spot, win it for the second, stay put or fall a spot or two. In our case if we went on a heater and finished higher there'd be a scenario where they win a draw and only move up to 3 or 4 or something but that's looking unlikely.

Wow, I did not realize how much Vegas is falling out of the playoff picture. They are 1 point behind Dallas (last WC spot) but they have played 4 more games!

I guess a better option for them would be to catch the Oilers in the #3 Pacific spot. Oilers are 3 points ahead but with 2 games in hand. At this part of the year especially, those points are really hard to make up. And Vegas just got shut out 2 games in a row. Interesting.

Can someone explain to me why some players have to go through waivers when they sign mid-season? Like that Sateri goalie, for example. The Leafs signed him, then he gets claimed by Arizona and he can just play with them as if Arizona was the team that signed him.

Last 32 thoughts podcast explained it well. It's to prevent teams from signing players solely for the playoffs essentially.
