Matthews suspended 2 games.

Sutter really turned Calgary around, good for him. They look really good.

His interview the other day was so typical Sutter. Asked his thoughts on his name being mentioned for the Jack Adams. Says that's a regular season award, and the only one of those he cares about is the Jennings.

Of course we were able to make him look good, but my god, Daws is terrible. Pulled for the second straight night

I either read or heard somewhere that Sutter said early on that he's not here to get them to sneak in the playoffs as the 8 seed because that would basically just be prolonging the offseason by 8 days against the Avs . Just such a Sutter thing to say lol. I dunno, come playoff time I like Calgary's chances against the Avs (he obviously said it before they significantly turned it around).

I cannot believe the Ducks are still only 3 points out of a playoff spot. The Pacific is that bad? If the Ducks played just .500 hockey after the break they‘d be in the 3rd Pacific spot now. It’s crazy. Don’t expect them to win anytime soon. It’s disappointing because they pissed away some games they should have won. Maybe keep the hopes alive a little longer.

Sure, but we have looked like ass anyway. Not like a playoff team. Getting in and getting our asses handed to ourselves by Colorado would not do much of a justice.
I'm all for keeping to win, but the meltdown I think was logical and we should not have the hopes of the playoffs. We need another year of development and to put focus on winning after that, imo.

Being in a playoff race is good for the kids though. Games are still meaningful and it makes them more competitive. The injuries killed them because they lack the depth other teams have.

it’s close on paper but in reality we are miles out. Dallas is essentially the second wild card team who have 2 more points than us in 5 less games. If they win say 3 of their 5 games in hand they’re 8 points ahead. Edmonton whose in the third pacific spot is 5 points ahead with 3 games in hand. Say if they take half the points in their games in hand they’re also 8 points up.

We have to go 14-4-1 to have an above 50% chance to make the playoffs…

Right now we have a 1.8% chance…

Eichel just had one of those potentially ugly plays where he took fell forwards while in motion and took contact to the head. Immediately couldn't help but wonder about his neck, but I see he's back on the ice.

I have no idea why Josi isn’t getting more Hart recognition, let alone Norris recognition. He’s got 72 points in 59 games, is comfortably leading his team in scoring and is the only reason they are still in playoff contention.

A couple of weeks ago I was ready to hand out the Norris to Hedman or Makar. How I think it has to go to Josi.
