This play notwithstanding, the Caps Bruins game last night was a good one, playoff intensity at times. Caps 2-1 in shootout. Rematch is Friday night.

Ovie , that's a no -no...

Nah, the high pitch of his voice makes it even more infuriating if you are the one being chirped.

Much more than say Ivan Drago telling you, "I must break you."

True, but I think they have a lot to be excited about with what they have, kind of similar to the Kings around 2008-09. I had some reservations in taking a finesse player from the DEL with our pick, but holy crap, Stutzle is just ooozing with talent. I did not think he would transition to the NHL as easily as he has. Unless he suffers some kind of catastrophic injury there is no way he isn't a huge star in the NHL probably starting next season. Watch how NHL defenders step back and don't challenge him when he carries the puck, a sign of a super elite player, they know how dangerous he is.

Stutzle looks great no argument there, but some are talking about how the Kings are bad at drafting and whatnot as if both of our cups weren't built predominantly off of our draft picks same with our current pool

The Kings drafting has been fine, in discussing the 2019 and 2020 drafts they took the highest rated players and the players that most of us wanted going into the drafts, just other players taken after the Kings picks have really shown through quite a bit more than our guys have thus far. The Kings would have been reaching a bit if they took Zegras or Cozens. Stutzle vs. Byfield was a legit discussion that I'm sure they debated it internally, but it was hard to pass up on the entire package that Byfield provided. I think it's fair to say that if the draft were tonight and we could know just how good Stutzle has been in the NHL the pick is different, and fans will pour on to that, heck our fanbase did it when a bunch of our rivals passed on Anze Kopitar to take Bobby Ryan, Luc Bourdon and Devin Setoguchi. It was the cherry picking of criteria that made me laugh my ass off.

"No cernak/Kubalik doesn't count, because he didn't stay there." UDFAs don't count. Roy doesn't count because reasons. Vilardi doesn't count because he's not PPG. Turcotte and Byfield don't count because it's too early, but they'll count negatively because they could bust, and none of the others count because I'm in the hockey capital of the world and I don't recognize their names therefore YOURE the idiot.

Okay I guess you're right, LA did suck at drafting between 2016 and 2018 and only in rounds 2-4, so by that criteria, LA has sucked at drafting for a decade.

It's the Erik Karlsson mentality again. EK is amazing, so everyone else must suck. Stutzle is phenomenal, therefore Lafreniere and Byfield are bad picks.

I don't disagree.

But I'm with @KINGS17 , I love it. Ovy takes care of himself. If your team's sparkplug du jour (I'll stop short of calling Frederic a rat quite yet) takes liberties, he's gonna pay for it. Then Ovy can score his way out of the penalty anyway.

The if you bring a knife, I'll bring a gun philosophy is correctly applied here by Ovechkin. Ovechkin showed he wasn't going to stand for it, and I doubt he has a problem with Frederic again.

I honestly still don’t know what LA has in Byfield. Never hear any super glowing reports but he is very young. He is a project but still has a ton of upside and potential. Give him a few years for sure.
