Freddie Andersen left the game today after the first with an upper body injury and the team proceeded to blow a 2 goal lead in the 3rd period with Ceci playing exceptionally bad. I wonder if Dubas explores a package of Martinez/Campbell, which would go a long way towards fixing some of the issues in Toronto. Packaging up 2 of the Kings pieces may be a way to get better value rather than selling to different teams.

For what though? Kings aren’t getting Sandin or Liljegren and the Leafs don’t have a first in 2020, they sent to Carolina to get rid of Marleau’s contract (which we should have eaten).

How is it misleading?
The implication is misleading. It's obviously accurate in the literal sense since they're cutting out a month+ of games. Unlike the other teams in that list, the Kings don't hold up when including the beginning of the season. Edmonton only drops a couple points, for example.

It was remarking on the Leafs efficiency from a particular date. A span which also includes when the Kings are effective.

The Leafs are 24.8% on the season, too. That's a bigger change than LA.

Their dedication to the tank is very impressive

On pace to be the worst team since the 99-00 expansion Thrashers. A couple % points above the 91-92 expansion Sharks.

Amazingly, in a cap world, and even the SO, and 3v3 OT not just 4v4, the Wings might be very similar to a 90's expansion team. Not Ottawa bad, but down there.

They're bad. They've also had injuries on top of that. It's like that colorado team that had the last gasps of Hejduk

Agreed, make so much sense for TOR. Especially since Martinez has another year on his contract and Muzzin, Barrie and Ceci (?) are all UFA's this summer.

my feeling is they are just bad as well. To me a team that tanks is when they actively sell off their good pieces and ice a questionable line up (like not promoting stud prospects for a sniff) ala the Sabers for the McDavid draft.

The Red Wings don't have any assets to sell off. Maybe Athanasio but it's not like he is helping them win.

Muzzin I think, is going to play the field. He'll have his agent/group talk to the LEafs but I think he has a sense that there will be more $$ to be had elsewhere, given , as you pointed out, other issues/contracts that the Leafs have to get to.

I don't think it's misleading. It better describes how their power play is now. It's a significant sample size and the graphic is properly labelled with "Since November 20th.

I don't think the leafs will be able to afford him without moving out a forward

I mean, they have other prospects and picks. Roberson for example is having a breakout season(though he likely won't be traded), I'm sure a very valuable package can be built from what they have.

I’ll admit to being surprised with seeing the Kings up there for PP%. But it is a decent sample size, so I don’t think it is misleading either. It also shows results gained by the coaches putting younger guys like Toffoli, Iafallo and Kempe out there consistently with Kopitar and Doughty on PP1 and giving them the minutes.

hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have been to their training center, Solar4America - they have a HUGE mural on the wall upstairs (like 10 feet by 25 feet) with the team surrounding the Clarence Campbell Bowl (or whatever it is). That's gonna be the high water mark for all these teams they had. Lol...poor Sharks.

I still like the way Brown barely even looked at the Clarence Campbell Bowl each of the two times the Kings won it. The 1993 Kings team partied with it in the lockerroom after the game like it was a big deal.

I remember that. Jeebus, seems like yesterday, time friggin’ flies.
