Devils win 4-2!

saw it was 2-2 in the third and I hoped it would got to OT

Well, it seems quite simple now. If the Kings lose two of the next three in regulation, they will finish with the 2nd worst record no matter what anyone else does so at least they have it in their hands in a warped way.

It's like the reverse of the end of 2015

"our fate is in our own hands...all we have to do is [lose] one of the last two games and we're in"

Now guaranteed at least the 4th lottery slot (i'll explain). NYR has more points than the Kings can earn (75 to 73). In addition, DET & BUF play each other on sunday, meaning someone gets 2 points, giving them at least 74.

A regulation loss tomorrow would assure 3rd.

arizona and vegas should beat us, but who knows. anaheim is probably looking to lose, but we are worse than them and can suck way better

Bless Detroit, they’ve ripped off a 5 game winning streak at just the right time to help out the Kings. Arizona is playing for two huge points tonight, but after getting embarrassed last night, I’m worried the Kings will win.

If Willie plays the crap out of Quick and Phaneuf the rest of the season and delivers a tank that gets us the first overall pick, I’d support bringing him back for one more year. Give him the interim tag, let him work his magic and alienate all the vets into retirement or trades out of town. Try and get another lottery pick next year, and boom, rebuild done.

I would think that ANA will not want to go 0-4 against us this year. It's bad enough to miss the playoffs but to whiff against your rival makes it even worse and it's their last home game. My gut tells me that the Ducks will come to play.

absolutely not to the bolded. If Dion or Quick want to play great, but in no way should WD be back next year.

worked out well for Erixon haha

Yeah, that definitely seemed like karma in that case. In the moment, it seemed like the Rangers got a decent prospect at half price. Coincidentally, Erixon was a Calgary draft pick like Fox but Calgary managed to sell high on Fox before he forced their hand.

Fun random thing: Calgary got two 2nd round picks from the Rangers for Erixon. With the first one, they took Markus Granlund and the other was used on Tyler Wotherspoon. They almost took Nikita Kucherov instead of Wotherspoon, but gambled that the Russian factor might scare teams off Kucherov until their next pick. But Tampa took Kucherov immediately after Wotherspoon. Calgary's consolation prize was taking the next small skilled guy they coveted in Johnny Gaudreau.

It's hard to say which organization is the bigger bucket of trash between BUF and EDM. Both of them should just be folded up like a tent due to waste of resources and opportunities.

Jackets got pasted at home tonight. Canes’ and Habs with leads in the 3rd.

Great finish shaping up for the final playoff spots in the East.

Leafs v Habs this Saturday night with a potential playoff spot on the line for the hosts. That could be a beauty of a game.

Wings up on Pens by a pair with about 7 mins left in the 3rd. Sabres lose...again.
