I prefer 1 v 8 for the sake of having more variety, but anyone complaining about "fairness" because apparently, playing the Bruins in the first round is harder than the second round? They aren't playoff contenders if that's their attitude.

I think the Kings ability to "develop" goaltenders is over.

For years every goaltender the Kings threw in net posted good numbers. Those days have ended, and they're probably not coming back anytime soon.

I think he's good. Looked great on his call up this year.

He's also currently getting lit up in the AHL.

Not like the NHL never had a divisional playoff format before. There were tough matchups back in the day in the opening round as well.

Jets v Flames (84-85), Caps v Islanders (85-86), Sabres v Habs (89-90), Pens v Caps (1991-92), Quebec v Habs (1992-93) as examples of teams at the top of the overall standings that had to matchup with each other in the 1st round.

I love the people are complaining about this format. Tough ****. Oh poor Leafs, they get matched up with the big bad Bruins. It's just not fair.

Leafs win a high scoring affair versus the Panthers 7-5.

Their defensive game has been gross the last few weeks. There is talk Gardiner may not return this season. No way they get by the Bruins if they continue to play this way.

Tavares grabs 4 goals to bring his total to 45 which puts him 2nd behind Ovi. He’s had a fantastic year.
