The Ottawa situation is going to be really interesting. These next couple of days are going to determine the foreseeable future for that franchise.

Yeah, I really could see that happening and it would be a great get for the Sens. For Nashville their window could be closing soon and they really need to capitalize, so they likely have to go all in. The Sens also have to try to keep Stone in my opinion, you need some leadership/star power even if your going through a rebuild.

Ottawa is screwed. Dorian didn’t protect that pick so they basically gave up a lottery pick and Turris for one year of Duchene and no way they get anything like that back for a ufa.

They protected the pick last year (took Brady Tkachuk), I don't think they are allowed to protect the pick multiple times.

Not the year not have a top 5 pick when you have to rebuild. The Avs are going to get a really good player with the Sens pick, plus their own in the draft. It would be a miracle if the Sens found a way to get a 1st for Duchene on Monday.
