Former Leafs coach Ron Wilson is being interviewed on TSN 1050 and is being very candid.

RIpped into the Leafs core group, and esp Kessel among other things, said he was inconsistent, couldn't be relied on and his emotional state created problems with his teammates.

Wilson "Some of these core players have failed under two or three coaches, so it's got to be the player's fault."

Wilson "you'd have to surmise that some of them are uncoachable"

Wilson "you never change a leopard's spots. I think you paint over a few but they'll eventually shine through the paint"

I can't imagine Kessel is the type to suddenly give a **** amongst a new coach. He's been on good and bad teams and gone through several coaches and played the exact same way under each. Just a selfish player. Hockey's easy when you don't have to play two ways.

Maybe we can hire Jack Johnson as a scout. He called Kessel a dirt bag way back when and it's looking like he was right.

I imagine they would have played together on alot of US teams so that says something. Also they both are labelled similarly as offensive guys who are weak on D, not sure how or why that is relevant.

The Leafs are an embarrassment.

I'm okay with that. I like the fact they continually suck. It's fun to watch. One could almost argue they haven't had the same winning culture since the Kings knocked them out back in 93. It's our fault. Classless Kings! They just never recovered.

Teams forced into playoff ruin since facing LA
Leafs
Sharks
Canucks

:D (sure it's a stretch..but whatever!)

Not sure if this is the place to put this but that sure was an exciting gold medal game. I never really watch the world juniors. I've watched the gold medal game a few times (including the come back by Russia a few years ago) and I've watched a few random games over the years. I did watch about 4 games in the preliminary rounds and I actually enjoyed it. I'm not going to lie I was rooting for the Russians to make the come back and shut up the building. I actually thought the Russians had the better first period. I know Canada came out and scored on their first few chances but I did think the Russians carried the play once they killed that penalty with the two goal deficit. The wheels really came off in the second for both teams and luckily for Canada it was towards the end of the period or Russia may have tied it then.

I was bummed out to see that Will Butcher has already been drafted. When I saw his last name I wanted him to be on the Kings.. for that reason alone.

How many other coaches have been fired while the team is in a playoff spot? Did they really expect that roster to be top of the league? The defense is awful.

offensive depth is terrible as well.
I think there team defense is the issue. Meaning that their forwards are complete garbage at playing defensive hockey and supporting the defensman they have.

I enjoyed listening to this interview. Thanks for the link.

Typical bush-****ing-league Toronto media.

I feel a little different

It is a given that the media is going to ask dumb questions and try to create a story. Phil also mentions that he has a history with the reporter? Then shouldn't Phil be used to it by now

I am not a Kobe fan, but he does a good job dealing with a bush league media member here

Bruins new CEO is not going to accept the current state of the team and everyone from the front office on down thru the locker room is being evaluated

Charlie Jacobs met with the media Tuesday morning at TD Garden and gave his state-of-the-Bruins address. Jacobs said he has had several meetings in the past 24 hours with the organization's senior leadership, specifically with president Cam Neely and general manager Peter Chiarelli, regarding the team.Jacobs added the evaluation process is ongoing as the organization attempts to right the ship.

They need to do something soon or they're not going to make the playoffs. Should have never traded Boychuck, huge loss on the blueline and leadership.

Pretty sure Jack Johnson was critical of Kessel's work ethic, effort in all situations, etc. Effort and dedicated work are not lacking in Jack's game.

I agree fully. I think I am in the minority that would welcome JMFJ back on the kings
