Konopka fights Brown right off the opening draw. One of the dumbest things you will ever see.

And yeah, it really seemed to motivate the Wild, you know the home team desperate for a win. Happy it backfired on them.

NHL would be so much better if **** like that was removed forever.

After all the crap the Wild fans said about the Kings this week, I'm loving every damn second of this. Amazing game.

All the hype surrounding them after landing the biggest free agents and dropping 200 plus million, could go for naught.Throw in the other stuff this week, and I'm all for them missing the playoffs! And even though Lumbus played like a bunch of sore losers the other night, still would like to see them in.

Agreed, goodbye Wild!

Kane, Toews and hossa not playing tomorrow. Easy win for St. Louis. Kings must win if they want the 5th seed. Otherwise they play Vancouver.

Should have been an easy game for the Wild tonight!

All even strength goals. Lulz.

Talk about crapping in the bed. Losing to the Oilers that badly, and with the Oilers easily being the worst team in the league the last couple of weeks.

Craptastic.

My favorite day of hockey in the regular season. So many games of importance.

Nashville @ Columbus @ 4PM - Lumbus needs a win and help or their season is over. If they get one point and MIN loses in regulation, they are in. If they get 2 points and MIN or DET lose in regulation, they are in. They may know their fate at the end of the game if DET loses in regulation.

Detroit @ Dallas @ 4PM - Detroit needs a W but can also get help from MIN; fan appreciation night in Dallas.

Minnesota @ Colorado @ 4:30PM - Wild needs a win or they have to hope Columbus loses in regulation. Pressure may be even greater on MIN when the 3rd period starts as they'll know the outcome of CBJ and DET's games; Fan appreciation night in Colorado.

Chicago @ St. Louis @ 5PM - 4th place on the line. Chicago is resting Kane, Toews and Hossa. Fan appreciation night in STL. It's pretty much a gift-wrapped W for STL. St. Louis wins and they have 4th locked up.

Depending on the outcome those games, LA can basically pick their 1st round opponent when they play at 7:30.

That was basically the Wild's game 7. Backstrom was 17-0 against the Oilers at home, and the Wild were 19-1-0 in Edmonton's past 20 visits.

That was the definition of epic fail. Now they have to go on the road back to back and beat Colorado on fan appreciation night in Colorado. Not going to be a cakewalk.

As much as I can't stand Detroit and would like to see them fail, for some reason I want Minny to miss out more. Will be rooting for a 7th place finish for Detroit so they get Anaheim, and an 8th place finish for Columbus so they get Chicago...keep in mind Columbus has Bob and has not been easy for Chicago this season.

Some great first round matchups coming our way in the West if that happens.

Didnt this move have something to do with AEG wanting him to cut payroll, and not seeing the need to spend big dollars during a rebuild?

If memory serves correct, Visnovsky was pretty vocal and unhappy about the way Lombardi handled him. Basically signed him to a contract then turned around and traded him to Edmonton (which might as well been the siberian prison ice hockey team at the time).

Yeah the Blues should walk away with easy W

No Toews
No Kane
No Hossa
No Sharp
No Keith
No Seabrook
No Hjalmarsson
No Crawford

Basically the Ice Hogs vs Blues today

I think too many think the Blues are going to walk through the baby Hawks. A bunch of young players with something to prove is always dangerous.
