What the f*** happened to the avs? We couldn't stop gushing over them a week ago. Oh, how the tides turn in the playoffs.

Peaked too early. What a shame, I was pulling for them.“Joe Sakic is a genius”
at second round exits.
For being a team of legend the Avs sure have a disgustingly fragile goalie and some little bitch named Girard weighing 160 on D? They both got exposed today. The Kings of Old would never fold like this.
18m over the cap is absurd.
It's a loophole that needs to be closed.
It was clear to everyone that Kucherov and previously Patrick Kane took full advantage of the letter of the law, but they both operated in bad faith of the 'spirit' of the law, both teams made acquisitions KNOWING a player was coming back and putting them over. I'm just not sure how you close that without eliminating LTIR altogether.
I do like the idea of a small % cap increase for the playoffs so it isn't prohibitive of shopping at the deadline, but for this loophole, maybe something as simple as LTIR is ineligible for the playoffs if they either don't play 10% of the regular season OR they have to reserve the cap space for the injured player.
Edit: Example--EVERYONE knew Kane and Kucherov would be back. In these instances, the teams could make the pickups they need to stay afloat in the season, but couldn't ice a roster any given night OVER the cap--ie you'd have to bench your acquisitions to play Kane or Kucherov (so Hawks would have to sit Vermette et. al. if they want to put Kane back in--so the TEAM can exceed the cap, but the iced roster can't).
Ain't he like 3-10 against Vegas all time? 0-4 in the playoffs?I kid you not. You put Quick on the Avs and they would have won this game 100%
Really hate vs coolAvs are out. Lightning vs Islanders Habs vs Knights.

Sure, okay.
The Kings did it with Gaborik in 15-16 too. Less fanfare, less success, but did it they did.
The series when the Kings were getting fewer than 20 shots on goal every game lolYou mean the series when the Kings best player was Quick? That series when everyone was playing like absolute dog shit and Quick was standing on his head?
Vegas and the Isles play a style of playoff hockey that is a joy to watch. The Habs beat two mediocre teams, I don't consider them contenders here. Tampa is loaded to the gills.Major props to Vegas. They were the way better team after the Game 1 massacre.
I still don’t know why they are so hated in here, is it that 2018 playoff series? Any team would have beaten the Kings that year.
I’m cool with any of the remaining 4 winning it.
That he lost all four games? You mean the series when the Kings best player was Quick? That series when everyone was playing like absolute dog shit and Quick was standing on his head?
Quick vs Fleury II would be an interesting duel for sure.I kid you not. You put Quick on the Avs and they would have won this game 100%

Are you implying that Quick was a factor in the sweep? That he lost all four games?
Yeah, that one.

I think Vegas makes short work of Montreal, Tampa wins in six, and Vegas wins the Cup.
