Major props to Vegas. They were the way better team after the Game 1 massacre.

I still don’t know why they are so hated in here, is it that 2018 playoff series? Any team would have beaten the Kings that year.

I’m cool with any of the remaining 4 winning it.

Marchessault might as well have helicoptor rotors as arms

Rivers cried from coaches and management on many, MANY occasions

2018 Series: MULTIPLE headshots on Kopitar (Haula, McNabb, Marchessault)--they were clearly going out of their way to injure one of the classiest players in the league and not a single one called

Doughty suspended for jack f***ing shit

Fantastic team? abso-freaking-lutely. Full of absolute shit as an organization? abso-freaking-lutely.

I can't root for that shithole organization to win a god damn thing no matter how good the product on the ice is due to the smug, smarmy bullshit peddled by everyone from the front office to social media and eaten up mindlessly by a fanbase that's one part knowledgeable and fun transplants of other teams but unfortunately one part shithead bandwagoners from other places and one part no-nothing assholes who may as well be the worst sports fans possible from Boston.

Does that about cover it?

This times 10000.

Dirtiest team in the NHL, gets calls like no other team in the NHL. And their fans and their existence should be grounds for their immediate departure from life or this league at least lol.

What an embarrassing reach. I didn't say it was his fault, I said he lost all four games.

Just like he did this year, 0-4, right? Why on Earth would anyone think that Jonathan Quick would have been the difference in this game or series? He is nowhere near the goalie he used to be, and is 1-8 in his last 9 playoff games.

You want to dispute that, or should I expect more righteous indignation?

Are you kidding me? As one of the most harshest critics of Quick he's the Goalie I'd choose in a game 7 game or elimination. Kings won the cup with that guy in net TWICE.

Grubauer is a piece of shit goalie who choked on the Avs tonight and let the team down. He didn't give the Avs a chance to win at any point. There's some goalies who are extremely competent in high stress situations. How many times have we seen the god king himself on the Blues Brian Elliot and that other clown who had vezina years, hellebuyck too. All shit the bed when the gloves come off. Quick has not been responsible or at the least a detriment to his team. In fact, he's been one of the best playoff performers the Kings have had, and you can say for sure he's had bad games in the playoffs. But they're far too few and far in between all the good ones.

Jonathan Quick was a better goalie than our young supposed prodigy Petersen this years with more wins under his belt while Petersen had a terrible win record.

Grubauer is complete shit and choked numerous times in game 6. He didn't give his team a shot. Not one.

Quick in net game 6 and there'd be a game 7 Id put all my money on it.

I'm all for Petersen taking the reigns but you know what? He still hasn't outperformed Quick yet and dudes 36 I think. However if the Kings today were in the playoffs and were looking to make a push, Quick would be the guy I'd go with because not only is he proven to be a great high stress performer, but again that series you're talking about with Vegas.. He was the only damn player performing while the rest were pure garbage.

I see goaltending a bit differently, it's not about making the easy saves, it's about making the hard saves. It's about coming up big when the team is collapsing in front of you. Giving the team a chance to win. Quick let's in dumb goals a lot and I feel people are too easy on him at times, however whenever the playoffs come around he becomes a rock more often than not.

What chance did Grubauer give the Avs? 5 goals on 17 shots? Really? Vezina candidate too? Miss me with that regular season bullshit. Give me the proven playoff performer who's went all the way TWICE.

Trying not to go in too hard on them since they were my pick and I loved watching them but again can't help but laugh about being told repeatedly Grubauer was 'the guy' even when facing champion caliber goaltending. I'm sorry but this stuff counts when you go deep and no team is that much better.

Too predictable. Just need replacement level goaltending, said every eventual loser since 2010

I think Tampa Bay, along with the rest of their over the cap depth, has a distinct advantage in goal with Vasilevskiy. Fleury has been very good, Price can carry a team, but neither of them are at the same level as Vasilevskiy at this time.

The NYI vs Tampa series should be interesting. The NYI have a ton of grit and heart, but really not enough skill to hang with Tampa.

You forgot the PED’s.

Would have been nice to have either series start tomorrow but we wait until Sunday.

Montreal/Vegas..Dislike both clubs.

Let's go Islanders, bring the Cup home for one last skate around the old barn that is the Nassau Coliseum.

Don' sleep on the Isles, they are a lot more than grit and heart. They've scored the most goals of any of the remaining teams. They have an effective defensive system, know how to win a close game. And have the smartest coach in the NHL behind the bench. Trotz has an uncanny knack of taking the pulse of a game and making the right adjustments. THey are very capable of beating the Bolts.

Montreal hasn't seen a team like Vegas all season long, regular season or playoffs.

No, and while it will present a challenge, it's not something that will prevent them from winning. In addition to have Price, who is very capable of stealing games, they have offense rolling, defense playing well and a whole lot of momentum. Weber is playing so well right now, and has that snarl that you need, that set of fangs.

Just be consistent. Don’t say your GM is a genius for cap circumvention then get mad when others do it.

What the Kings tried to do to Mike Richards to generate extra cap space was appalling. There was not a single player on the roster who they would have tried that with, not a single one. Months before they let a guy who beat the crap out of his wife back at practice but tried to terminate MR for illegally obtaining prescription drugs. I think what made that even more heinous than some of these other ones was that it tried to deny a guy out of almost $30m in salary (or whatever money MR would have obtained from a traditional buyout). There was very little outrage on this board, most were just happy to have the cap space, so how is that any different than what Tampa fans are saying? I still think both go against the spirit of the game.

They will fix this in the next CBA, but unfortunately there will probably be another one pop up, like there always is.

And if Richards could still play at the time, we never hear about any international border incident.

The cap is just a good example of how humans will try to get around any constraint put on them. Nobody like the cap. If you haven't at least tried to break the rules of it, you're either a saint, or just haven't been around long enough yet.

I am not sleeping on any of them. All of the teams are in the last four. Tampa Bay and Vegas are the favorites to advance, and justifiable so, because they are the better teams. The NYI have the best chance of pulling off an upset.

A Montreal / NYI Stanley Cup Final would be anti-climatic in my opinion. I want to see a great final and the best two teams, and right now that's Vegas vs Tampa Bay.

I wonder if they inquired about Quick. I think he would be awesome in Colorado.
