Major props to Vegas. They were the way better team after the Game 1 massacre.
I still don’t know why they are so hated in here, is it that 2018 playoff series? Any team would have beaten the Kings that year.
I’m cool with any of the remaining 4 winning it.
Born on 3rd base
Undeserved sense of entitlement
Marchessault might as well have helicoptor rotors as arms
Rivers cried from coaches and management on many, MANY occasions
2018 Series: MULTIPLE headshots on Kopitar (Haula, McNabb, Marchessault)--they were clearly going out of their way to injure one of the classiest players in the league and not a single one called
Doughty suspended for jack f***ing shit
Fantastic team? abso-freaking-lutely. Full of absolute shit as an organization? abso-freaking-lutely.
I can't root for that shithole organization to win a god damn thing no matter how good the product on the ice is due to the smug, smarmy bullshit peddled by everyone from the front office to social media and eaten up mindlessly by a fanbase that's one part knowledgeable and fun transplants of other teams but unfortunately one part shithead bandwagoners from other places and one part no-nothing assholes who may as well be the worst sports fans possible from Boston.
Does that about cover it?
What an embarrassing reach. I didn't say it was his fault, I said he lost all four games.
Just like he did this year, 0-4, right? Why on Earth would anyone think that Jonathan Quick would have been the difference in this game or series? He is nowhere near the goalie he used to be, and is 1-8 in his last 9 playoff games.
You want to dispute that, or should I expect more righteous indignation?
I think Tampa Bay, along with the rest of their over the cap depth, has a distinct advantage in goal with Vasilevskiy. Fleury has been very good, Price can carry a team, but neither of them are at the same level as Vasilevskiy at this time.Trying not to go in too hard on them since they were my pick and I loved watching them but again can't help but laugh about being told repeatedly Grubauer was 'the guy' even when facing champion caliber goaltending. I'm sorry but this stuff counts when you go deep and no team is that much better.
Too predictable. Just need replacement level goaltending, said every eventual loser since 2010

The NYI vs Tampa series should be interesting. The NYI have a ton of grit and heart, but really not enough skill to hang with Tampa.
Montreal hasn't seen a team like Vegas all season long, regular season or playoffs.

Just be consistent. Don’t say your GM is a genius for cap circumvention then get mad when others do it.
What the Kings tried to do to Mike Richards to generate extra cap space was appalling. There was not a single player on the roster who they would have tried that with, not a single one. Months before they let a guy who beat the crap out of his wife back at practice but tried to terminate MR for illegally obtaining prescription drugs. I think what made that even more heinous than some of these other ones was that it tried to deny a guy out of almost $30m in salary (or whatever money MR would have obtained from a traditional buyout). There was very little outrage on this board, most were just happy to have the cap space, so how is that any different than what Tampa fans are saying? I still think both go against the spirit of the game.
They will fix this in the next CBA, but unfortunately there will probably be another one pop up, like there always is.
26-27. same as Kovulchuk
I am not sleeping on any of them. All of the teams are in the last four. Tampa Bay and Vegas are the favorites to advance, and justifiable so, because they are the better teams. The NYI have the best chance of pulling off an upset.Don' sleep on the Isles, they are a lot more than grit and heart. They've scored the most goals of any of the remaining teams. They have an effective defensive system, know how to win a close game. And have the smartest coach in the NHL behind the bench. Trotz has an uncanny knack of taking the pulse of a game and making the right adjustments. THey are very capable of beating the Bolts.

I wonder if they inquired about Quick. I think he would be awesome in Colorado.Trying not to go in too hard on them since they were my pick and I loved watching them but again can't help but laugh about being told repeatedly Grubauer was 'the guy' even when facing champion caliber goaltending.
