Luc and Rob are a waste of time and money.
Avs goaltending is again their weakness. Grubauer getting the Vezina votes over Hellebuyck was a joke.
Yeah, can't have Stone with time and space bearing down on your goalie. It would have been huge if he didn't score there. That turnover by Landeskog on the tying goal is the stuff losers are made of. What a dumbass.
Totally agree. There are a handful of guys who had a better GSAx and played a similar amount of games and his SV%Ax was barely break even.Avs goaltending is again their weakness. Grubauer getting the Vezina votes over Hellebuyck was a joke.
It may be, but the assumption was Montreal would beat the winner of the Vegas/Colorado series, which also isn't happening.I think it's Vegas' year.
I haven't gone back and done the legwork, but it seems the Avs have had some awful 3rd periods in this series.I knew when Vegas tied it up they were going to win, Avs should've closed the game out. Instead Vegas can win the series at home, great job guys
Biggest group of turncoat bandwagoners on the planet are in Canada, CHANGE MY MIND
National pride behind the last Canadian team is something that the Canadian media seems to drum up every year, but from my experiences online and offline its not really close to reality.
Wutda? Habs v NYI.. get your facts straight. So Vegas vs Tampa Bay for the cup? Yuck.
Against Toronto? No way says everyone....against Tampa Bay? I don't think so.

Same for Winnipeg.
Same for VGK
Same for NYI/TB.
Its funny, cause this same narrative was slapped on an eerily similar 1993 Habs team. Habs went down 0-2 Nordiques in rnd1.. and it qas end of the world.. then... well we all know the rest.
It's happening again... this run is 93 2.0
Right now, Tampa Bay has to be the favorite to win again. I addition to their cap-circumventing depth, Vasilevskiy has been rock solid for them, and I don't see that changing.
Possibly. But don't' underestimate the Isles. Have the ability to shut down teams and have the best coach in the business. Trotz is a terrific strategist, understands the pulse of a game better than most and has a great rapport with his players. When he took over the Isles, they were the worst defensive team in the NHL and he turned that aroound his first season. This article speaks to his thoughts on defending. This quote, from him, says alot about how he understands the game
How to Play Barry Trotz Defense
"To me, the make-up of a modern defenseman, the No. 1 thing is the processing skills," Trotz said. "You can be a great skater, you can have really good puck skills, but the ability to problem-solve is, to me, key."

Been saying for two years now that there is no trade in the NHL that makes more sense than a deal centered around Kopitar and Byram. Colorado isn't winning anything until they get a pressure release valve up the middle, they don't have a player capable of championship level two way play. Anze would be in his ideal spot, probably the most important player on the squad without having to be "the man".Colorado still interested in Kopitar?
That's why they are so good, everybody buys in at full value - without a superstar. If Vegas wins is it the worst group of centers to ever win a cup?
