While I'm not a huge fan of Montreal adding to their Stanley Cup total, given how long it been and how they have pretty much nothing left of their 1993 ancestor, it is sort of funny watching them continue on in the playoffs. It helps that I love Toffoli as well...

It's also fun watching Edmonton and Winnipeg fans lose their minds and sets up a stage where Montreal might be thrown into the mix though I am sure they are thankful for even being there. It sets up the prospect of the hilarious scenario that the Oilers were swept by a team that got swept by a team that's probably gonna get swept by the team that goes on to the Finals. If only McDavid had the stones to ask for a trade...
No, Montreal must wander in the wilderness for 40 years before I will forgive them for sneaking into the Kings locker room in 1993.

Toronto even longer, because...well because they are Leaf fans.

I look at it as the Canadians pulling pregame hijinks and sneaking into the Kings locker room without permission.

I think the fact that the Kings never had a single lead in that series after that loss upset me more than their incompetence in having illegal sticks on the ice late in the third period of Game 2.

I also believe that the Kings were so beat up after their series with the Leafs that they just ran out of gas, and Patrick Roy looked superhuman in those playoffs.

I like the Canes a lot, but they just seem to be lack the "It" factor. They lost because the Lightning are just too good, but they just seem to be missing something a little extra, maybe its a solid #1 goalie that they can comfortably rely on night in and night out, but I don't know.

Every OT game the Kings played against Montreal in that series at the start of OT, you look at one end of the ice and there is Roy. Then, you look at the other end and there is Hrudey. Uh, yeah.

Teams have always circumvented the cap to a degree, but Tampa this year is the most blatant. They spent 97M on payroll. They used 17M in LTIR.

The second closest team in LTIR usage was St. Louis who used half of what TB did.

Yeah, ya did. I remember vividly because when I expressed a negative opinion about Gaudreau because of his size, you came out of the woodwork like I knocked up your sister without a ring, same as you're doing now. It's especially odd considering it's just my opinion and these guys aren't even Kings players. I can only surmise that you're 5'2" and take it personally or some shit. I dunno, but whatever it is time will tell with Caufield, and no matter how he turns out, it doesn't really matter at all.

That's a pretty low bar. Who hasn't been a "Kings killer" the last 6 years?

I don't want only small players, I want elite offensive talents whether they are 5'7 or 6'7. I want Jack Eichel (6'2, 215) this summer because he is an elite offensive player. I wanted Cole Caufield (5'7 165) in the 2019 draft because he is an elite offensive player. You wanted nothing to do with Caufield simply because of his size. People whiff on prospects all the time, no big deal, I just don't get how anyone can be watching these games and have any doubts. He is a gamebreaker already, in the playoffs 20 games into his career. We saw the same thing with Makar, only special players have seasons like they had in college as teenagers and then immediately step into the SC playoffs and be instant difference makers.

Makar is so shifty for a D guy. Avalanche need to make better passes, they just aren’t connecting.

Seems like the longer this series goes, the slower the Avalanche are.
