Hanzal got beat by Sobotka like Kopitar did by Pavelski. Or, really anyone vs. Kopitar this year.

Monahan and Scheifle and Getzlaf all had an easy time against him as well. In fact, Kesler was tasked to go against Carter more than Kopitar since it was apparent who the lone threat was down the middle for the Kings.

Succumbing under pressure, the mark of a true leader.

Stellar PKer, and was previously really really good at board battles, though that seems to have evaporated after his injury. He's a load to move and for the Kings style that was fantastic deeper in series.

But people seem to think they traded for a huge scrappy banger and then end up confused no matter how much we tell them.

No argument here, I believe in the intangibles in sports as much as anyone. Anyone that saw the 2012 and 2014 teams here saw it as well. Hell, even the 2013 team, they were getting by on sheer moxie.

Mike Richards willed this team against the Hawks. Unfortunately, that hit he took probably started the downfall of his career.

Bruce post game - “They weren’t the better team,” he said, “but they won four games.”

I see a lot of parallels what happen to the Hawks to this season and the Kings last season. Both played like crap once things were clinched, took it into the playoffs and were not ready to play from game 1 on. They looked worse than we did against the Sharks, and that says a lot.

Dwight King had as big of an impact as a deadline acquisition as Anson Carter had with the Kings.

Curious to see what kind of contract he gets as a UFA, just to see if he's valued as much as Lombardi was giving him when he was retained.

One of the best deals Lombardi made was getting a 4th round pick for him.

A guy coming off a 15-15 season after showing us what he could do in the playoffs in various situations was absolutely worth 1.95.

A guy coming off a series of injuries with literally half the production...not so much.

People will use it to crap on Lombardi without context.

Sky is blue, water wet.

So what I hear you saying is you had the better team, but couldn't get the job done. Sort of, kinda, maybe taking responsibility for the failings of your team there Bruce?
