The Kings were very fortunate to have Williams. He is as clutch as any player of this era. Almost always scores the big goal in the biggest games.

Stellar PKer, and was previously really really good at board battles, though that seems to have evaporated after his injury. He's a load to move and for the Kings style that was fantastic deeper in series.

But people seem to think they traded for a huge scrappy banger and then end up confused no matter how much we tell them.

No argument here, I believe in the intangibles in sports as much as anyone. Anyone that saw the 2012 and 2014 teams here saw it as well. Hell, even the 2013 team, they were getting by on sheer moxie.

Man, is it glorious to watch the Wild crash and burn with both Suter and Parise as spectators on the OTGWG.

That's a 2nd round I can get behind and probably watch all of, Preds-Blues. Should be fun, and love both teams.

Sometimes you have to throw caution to the wind. If this is a weak draft, and the Wild have their deepest team in years, why not take the chance? At a time when Staal has a bounce back season, his best in years, and he'll be 33 in October, might as well try to get something from the Parise/Suter contract era. The West was wide open all year too. If any year it was this year to go for it. Sometimes you just have to try.
