Hell of a game by the Oil. Took some stones to come back after the previous game. Just absolutely dominated the 2nd half of that game. And I'm sure we all had David Desharnais as the overtime hero

lol Comment I read about the Blackhawks..
"Pillars of your franchise combine for 5pts in the entire series."
"Wilson has more goals than the entire Blackhawks team."
"How long until PKane is a Golden Knight?"
"How can a dynasty get swept in the first round?"
"Pekka Rinne had 2 assists. No Blackhawk had 3pts."
"Can anyone tell me how many times Chelsea Dagger was played this post season?" oof. lol

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL...

Spoken like someone that has watched Blackhawks hockey for 6 months.

That Seabrook contract might be the worst in the league, his mobility looks shot. 7 more years at 6.875...

What the heck? I last checked the score the Sharks were winning 3-1 with only minutes left and now I find out the Oilers won in OT. Did not see that coming.

Edit: Just saw the highlights. Looks like Sharks were up 3-1 in the dying minutes of the second period....oops.

I thought Nashville was pretty underrated last year. Johansen is the real deal.

Apparently he really recommitted himself this past off season, workout wise and adjusted his attitude.

He's buying in and it shows this year.

That line with Arvidsson and Forsberg is a wrecking crew. Real nice mix of speed, skill and grit.

At 32 years old, that is gross term and number.

Doesn't matter. The Hawks had to give Seabrook that term and that money, because if they didn't some other really smart GM from another team would have given it to him.

Devin Setoguchi has signed with Adler-Mannheim of the German Hockey League, inking a two-year deal to continue his hockey career overseas.

Not now he won't. Two years ago might be a different story.

No it wouldn't have been. Kopitar is not what the Preds were looking for. They wanted a top young center, age comparable to the player they were trading. Johansen is 5 yrs younger that Kopi and his new contract (rumored to be in the 6M range) will be less than what Kopi was making. Trading for a player 7 yrs older than Jones, a player who you can't resign, makes zero sense.

I know this is a subtle dig at Dean for Kopitar's contract but its not even close to being the same situation

Monster game by Draisaitl.

Yes, this kid is the real deal.

Edmonton is likely going to have to move Nugent-Hopkins or Eberle within the next couple of years once Draisaitl and McDavid have ELCs which have expired.

They should be fine though.
