Still only 4 teams have won the cup since 2009. Kings are part of that group. TWICE.

Pens win back-to-back with no #1 d-man and with horrible Corsi, proving everyone wrong all the way to the cup.

Corsi is just a tool, like all stats are.

It's not 100% definitive, Kings proved that last couple of seasons.

I 100% agree with you regarding Corsi. I always laugh at the people who are 100% for it and 100% against it. They don't realize that it's just a tool.

I think Pittsburgh 2009 and 2017 are the only two cup winning teams that weren't top 10 in Corsi during the regular season. I'm almost positive they were well under 50% during these playoffs too. They were around 42-44% in the Washington series I think and they only outshot Nashville twice in this series.

If they win another one in the next two years then I think its fair to call them a dynasty.

They also won in 2009, went to the finals in 2008 and the conf finals in 2013. It's been a pretty dominant decade.

I'm embarrassed for the Preds, couldn't win road games and got shut out twice in the finals! Yikes.

Nah, they had a great run.

That call last night was absolute horse ****, they should have been ahead and then who knows what happens. We could be talking about a Game 7 this morning.

I honestly figured they had momentum going into Game 5 after holding serve in Nashville. I think that 2 day layoff hurt them more than it helped.

The atmosphere/crowd in Nashville was great to see throughout the Final and really the entire postseason. That city has really embraced the club in the last few seasons. :handclap:

I hate posting stuff like this, but I'll do it anyways - Predators probably win with a healthy Johansen.

I still think the Pens win. You could look over to their side and they had some guys out as well, obviously Letang and then Bonino went down as well during the series (Game 4?).

Both teams were banged up. be interesting to see now that it's all said and done with, who was playing dinged up. You could certainly see Ellis was not 100% last night.

I'm impressed the Pens won back to back Cups with that defense corps. It's not the prettiest but it's effective. The pieces fit their system.

Last night Nashville should have had a 1-0 lead. Who knows what happens afterwards.
