Hank's gloves are actually black, but due to all his ****ing crying, the salt turns them white.

caps fan just asking about sutter: did you guys get the impression he had retired after being let go? I read an interview, which sorta implied what brought him to LA was the gm, and it sorta inferred that after winning two cups that might be it. Think he would come to DC and take a chance at righting this ship? Or have we already taken on too much water?

Well, he'd take your worst forward and put him on the top line for sure. Move Ovi to the 3rd line and reward more icetime to anyone who plays hard on the puck, but doesn't score.

Rangers fans totally did a 180 from 2012 to 2014. They loved us for dispatching the Devils. Two years later, it all changed and you already know why. Especially when it came to debating Hank vs Quick.

Sutter would play Ovi all the time. Just like Sutter did with Gabo, when Gabo produced.

It's only when Gabo started to show his age, that Sutter cut his ice time.

People are making a big deal out of the OVI/Trotz thing.

It's nothing, Ovi got moved down for a game (really only two periods), so Trotz could get a few energy guys to move the top lines (they were stagnant) It worked, Washington scored three in the third, and OVI most likely will be up, in the lineup again.

Sutter would love OVI, the guy is still a very physical player (when he wants to be) and an emotional roller coaster, right up Sutter's ally.

Exactly. People seem to forget that King and/or Lewis were on the top line cause there were no other options? Dustin "Turnover" Brown? Marian "Breaks-a-Lot" Gaborik? Not really any good options.

I'm trying to understand the Oilers fans saying the NHL is against them. If they believe the NHL is corrupt and hates the Oilers, how the hell did they win the draft lottery to get McDavid? NHL has quite the long con going: "hey let's gift them all star and then **** with them in the playoffs"

That's how most fans based in Canada think. They're victims, since '93.

I predicted the Ducks would win game 5 (not in the way that ended up happening) but would lose games 6 and 7 in typical ducks fashion. Everyone thought the oilers were done after losing 7-0 to the sharks and they ended up pulling it out.

They lost one of their top dmen in Sekera, and Larsson and Klefbom are still prone to mistakes. Nurse has been a mess, Benning and Russell have played well, and they're having Gryba enter the lineup.

It would be nice to see Edmonton win the next two games, but they're going to need a lot of bounces and luck in their favor, which the Ducks have had plent of of of late. And that's because they get better as the games go on, and Edmonton gets worse.
