Karlsson has been the best player in the playoff's . He is carrying his team.

Although, Roman Josi is also playing outstanding, Preds defense looks like the 2012 Kings.

Huge Josi fan, and he's pretty much always good. But I think Ekholm has been terrific too. Solid in all 3 zones and he's a +10, which is tops for their D, and is very impressive in a playoff run.

Josi, Ekholm and Ellis combined make less than 9M. - BARGAIN

I still think the Pens win this series. They dominated the first 2 games. This is just one of those games. The big question is who starts in game 4.

I think the Sens take it, in 6 if it goes that long. I have been surprised at how well the Pens have played, given their defense injuries. However, I also felt the Sens didn't take advantage of that , in the first 2 games as far as their forechecking and attacking. And they

And Crosby's injury is affecting them as well, since May 1 and the concussion , he's not been as aggressive and has 1 g, 3 a, 4 pts , 12 SOG and -4.
And despite the fact the NHL Concussion spotters wouldn't step in in his first game back when he went hard into the boards and was groggy, that affected him.

Per TH2N: Since May 1st concussion, Sidney Crosby's games haven't been as impressive & he hasn't looked like his usual dominant playoff self

Granted Fleury got them here, esp playing over his head vs the Caps, so I can see why Sullivan may go back to him. However,
I think Murray should start in game 4, he would have been starting all along , except for the injury. And they won the CUp last year with him and he knows about that kind of pressure. Fleury , historically, usually doesn't react well to pressure. One bad one goes in, 2 or 3 more usually follow. And as was pointed out in an article I read this morning, Fleury has not fared well in Ottawa and has been pulled from games in quite a few starts there.

Capitals have 11 players eligible for Free Agency (6 RFA's) ...tough decisions.

Leafs have 15M in Cap space and should have enough to land a top defenseman and possibly a 4th line center. But resigning Boyle would be a good option.

#Isles News: Luke Richardson has officially been named an Assistant Coach. Details: http://atnhl.com/2pPhVPS

Good for him, he'll get some experience and eventually move up to a head coach position. Great hockey guy, should fare well.

As expected, Nill taking calls on the #3...

According to Sean Shapiro of NHL.com, Dallas Stars GM Jim Nill was speaking on NHL Network radio this morning about the possibility of moving the third-overall pick. Nill admitted to having discussions about it, mostly because of the wide variety of players who could be of interest to teams at #3. While Nolan Patrick and Nico Hischier are widely expected to go 1-2 in some order, there are “about 10 players” who could be selected next.

and Swedish forward Filip Sandberg is eyeing the NHL for next season, sounds like a nice pickup for somebody

At 22 years old, the versatile Sandberg can play all three forward positions and shows two-way ability often unseen in Europe. He also has a high level of hockey intelligence, positioning, and vision, making him an ideal play-maker, especially when lined up at center. While his size – 5’9″, 181-lbs. – could be seen as a hindrance to success at the NHL level, it hasn’t held him back so far. For a smaller player, Sandberg is tenacious along the boards and on the forecheck.

Czech d Jan Rutta the hot commodity....

Allan Walsh‏Verified account @walsha

Keep an eye on UFA client Jan Rutta (26 yrs old). One of the top #Czech offensive dmen is receiving NHL offers.

Defenseman Jan Rutta named Player of the Game for Czech Republic today. Will make decision on NHL offers soon.

Multiple NHL offers on Czech dman Jan Rutta. Edmonton is among the CDN teams with interest, but i don't believe they've tabled offer yet.

Fleury (per practice observations) looks to be the starter for game 4

All my eyes could read there was Grant Fuhr.

The Wild had to try and go for it. I know, I know, flawed team that shouldn't take a shot. They had to try something while they're stuck with the contracts.

They better get something good out of that. Pittsburgh is sort of up against the wall with Murray. Not many teams left that need Fleury.

That could mean a lot of things. They'll have a new backup for sure. A couple UFA's that probably won't be back. At least one guy will be in Vegas. How much are they really going to do?

And, Team USA still can't win.

Interesting part of this article is the end, where it talks about the fact that the Wild have too many players for the expansion draft. They have to lose somebody good.

Maybe the Kings can pluck a Nino? You could put him with Kopitar and Toffoli for a killer line.

It would probably take the Kings first round pick.

rather keep the pick if that's the cost.

Perry is starting to show some age. Lot's of turnovers in the neutral zone, and his hand-to-eye coordination isn't what it once was just a couple of years ago.

For some forwards the hands are the first thing to go.

Forsberg abuses Bieksa, but can't get it past Gibson.

Nashville finding their game.

One thing that's good for Perry is his game was never predicated for skating.

One thing that's bad for perry is, as you mention, his hands are starting to look like Mike Richards' last season, where the puck just hits his stick like a hand grenade.

Wasted opportunity on the 5-on-3. Nashville played catch going high-low-high for about 20 seconds.
