Around the League '16-'17 Part Why Is This Still Going

  • Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. If you get an infraction you feel you don't deserve, I would suggest bringing it to the attention of a global mod. It can help cut down on some of the nonsense.

Leafs sign two very good young Swedish defensemen

They already have a kid on the Marlies, Travis Dermott that had good year, good post season and is expected to compete for a spot next year, depending on camp and preseason activity.

They got their forwards, now their getting their d. And still rumored to be moving JVR and at least 1 prospect for a top 4 defenseman.

both highly rated, and esp the 21 yr old Borgman, a really fast skater who plays a very good two way game. ANd has really improved over the last two years and won the Swedish Hockey League Rookie of the Year. Had 10 pts in 14 post season games and helped his team win the championship

Both probably will be on the Marlies next year but Borgman has the potential to step right in.

Makes you wonder how a kid like Borgman never got drafted. Back in his draft year (2013), he was ranked 36th by NHL Central Scouting among international skaters, but all 30 teams passed him over. :dunno:

You would figure some club would have spent a late round pick on the kid.

They likely feared taking an undersized, European defenseman, who at the time was listed as being 5'11" and 191 lbs. Now he's 6'0" and 205 lbs, grew an inch taller and put on 14 lbs since his draft year.

especially for coaches/GMs on hot seats on bottom feeder teams. If they can stay competitive with a **** roster, they'll do it.
 
When a series is tied 1-1, the team that wins Game 3 wins the series 67% of the time.
 
I still think the Pens win this series. They dominated the first 2 games. This is just one of those games. The big question is who starts in game 4.

Well Ottawa isn't beating Anaheim so just to be safe I'd rather have Pittsburgh there. Although I don't think Pittsburgh beats Anaheim either.

Sens CANNOT win the Cup, otherwise my five year running "Karlsson will never win a championship" troll spam is all for naught.
 
Karlsson has been the best player in the playoff's . He is carrying his team.

Although, Roman Josi is also playing outstanding, Preds defense looks like the 2012 Kings.
