Smith and Calgary with a shutout tonight in Anaheim. I think Smith can be a difference maker for the Flames, if he stays healthy.

Career record vs Pacific Division teams:

Los Angeles: 15-8-1
Anaheim: 13-8-3
Edmonton: 15-4-1
Vancouver: 8-8-2
San Jose: 12-8-3

Calgary is the only team which he has a sub-.500 record against.

Smith weirds me out because sometimes he looks superhuman and othertimes he's just Ray Emery, head issues included.

Calgary was our kryptonite before he showed up, maybe now there will be even MORE emotion in the game, we can hope, heh

Dwight King is even worse in the KHL. He can't score.

Slava Voynov has been a stud for SKA Saint Petersburg who is 20-0 to start the season.

Our old friend Alexander Frolov had a goal last night. The 35 year old has more points than King.

Can you believe it? That's the guy we had playing with Kopitar last year... So obvious our team had problems. Man DL and Co. Really did some bizarre damage to the team.

Totally agree. He's playing behind a much better defense, Flames top 4 is and will be difference makers. Less pressure and stress on Smith in net.

Emotion is a hell of a thing, Vegas was either going to come out completely flat, or ready to skate through a brick wall

Good for Vegas for playing well to start the season. That said, they haven't played anyone particularly good yet.

Arizona just looks bad. They looked decent for a period in a half against Anaheim, it's been a mess ever since.

The Blues and Chicago look formidable again so far.

Good on Vegas for taking advantage, but that game was about Arizona being absolutely dreadful.

Even though the Yotes looked terrible, I don't think any team was going to be beating the Knights tonight.
