Josh Anderson has requested a trade out of CBJ.

Sucks for the Jackets. He's a solid young power forward who in my opinion has not reached he full potential.

I expected him to be a big part of their offense this year and going forward, he looked to be heading in a good direction last year. However, it all comes down to $$ , and apparently neither side is budging. Kekalainen is denying that Anderson asked to be traded. And in prior trade talks for Duchene, he was a player the Avs asked about (reportedly) and Kekalainen wouldn't consider it. Now with contract talks going nowhere fast, I wonder if they will honor Anderson's request and move him as part of a Duchene trade.

I don't mind it except for all the wasted space. A one line reply takes of 25% of the page. Also quotes need to be a different color background. Otherwise, this site was long overdue for an upgrade.
Oh, I'm liking it more than disliking it. There's a lot of nice features now.

Anyway, Kings will start with Gaborik out? Not too bad, I guess. Hopefully he'll be ready soon and hopefully he can get up to speed quickly. We need his skill.

Jagr in St. Louis? Blues GM says it's been discussed internally...

From what was written in prior articles, Jagr was a bit picky on who he wanted to sign with. But given his phone hasn't been ringing off the hook, he should consider it if the blues call.

Sad news...Rest in Peace, Dave. IMO, one of the best in the business, loved listening to his calls on games.

It is with sad news that we announce that Dave Strader has passed away this morning at the age of 62.

I love B-Mels insight on the NHL, but there's no way the Flames are winning the cup with Mike Smith in net. This isn't 2012 bro.

I don't think they're WCF finalists, but Mike Smith will be playing under much less pressure because the defense in front on him, and the Flames top 4 is good, is much better than he's had. He'll do fine, it makes a big difference.

If indeed Jagr deal gets done in Calgary, am told it's for $1 million base salary plus another $1 million in attainable bonuses

He picked 3 teams (I think the Habs were one of the other 2, from what I read) he felt had a shot to have a deep playoff run. And of course, $$$

And a bit more details on the standoff between the BJ's and Josh ANderson:

No movement on RFA front with CBJ/Josh Anderson. Club wants 3-yr term ($1.85M AAV); player would do one-year QO at $735K. Sides entrenched.
