Malkin is a dirty prick, but this isn't the play you make your stand on.

Oh he's got plenty of worse on his dirt reel but I can't stand slew foots. I also can't stand how it was stated "Malkin leaves period after leg hurt by Lehtera" as it was described in game as if Malkin was the victim of a dirty play, that's more of what I was referring to.

Just heard an interesting stat on Bobrovsky. He has never played a playoff game where he allowed fewer than 3 goals, yet he has two Vezina Trophies.

that main board gdt reads like a call of duty game between 12 year olds, all its missing is some hard Rs

Once upon a time there was a very popular notion that European players weren't tough enough to win the Cup. Then the Red Wings came along and put that to bed.

My comment wasn't related to Bobrovsky's country of origin. I just found it strange a two-time Vezina winner hasn't performed better in the playoffs. He is a great goaltender in the regular season. I would have expected him to steal a playoff game here and there, not give up 3 goals or more in every playoff game in which he has appeared.

Maybe he's not tough enough?

His career playoff numbers are pretty dismal. .894 save percentage and 3.41 GAA, this playoff season is statistically the best of his career. He may just be like a Joe Thornton type player, can't turn it up a notch when the big games count and eventually fans will start bringing up his lack of success in the playoffs and it will define his career.

He gets way too many free passes. People will point out he's had to play the Pens twice, been a deep seed, etc. but when it comes to other goalies like Quick they don't get any benefit of the doubt. People were calling him terrible in 2013 when he posted a .934...there wasn't any notice of he was .951 before running into a potential dynasty, they were just calling him a flash in the pan. Meanwhile, Bob chugs along being mediocre-to-bad in the playoffs...

I guess Bob's just never been a threat to anyone.

It seems like the entire Columbus team just can't get over the hump. Up 2 games to none in the 1st round against Washington, and now down 3-2. I think Quick is the kind of goalie who can get teams over humps like this, simply because he would refuse to lose 2 out of the 5 games remaining once they were up 2-0. Bob isn't good enough in the clutch.

Malkin is out today for Pittsburgh. Game 6 should be a good one in Philadelphia today, if the Penguins don't expose the difference in talent in net for the Flyers.
